      It's the total cost. To further clarify it's $58.20 per 4x500g with one delivery per month, which translates to $14.55 for each 500g bag. I'll have another look at the post wording to see if I can do a better job describing it :)

      Unfortunately due to the way the technology integration is structured with shopify for this type of product, to have more than one shipping option (standard or express) we needed to build two product types. Shipping is determined by the product menu selection for our FBC as opposed to at the checkout like our one-time purchase products.       One of the benefits of our FBC is in exchange for prepaying for 4, monthly deliveries with each delivery dispatch restricted to within a set week time frame each month (slightly more restricted than one-time purchased) means you get an exclusively reduced shipping rate. As such at the time of purchase of an Express Post FBC product/s you'll be changed a one-time Express Shipping fee of $27.96. This translates to $6.99 flat-rate Express Shipping per dispatch (4 x $6.99 = $27.96).

      Appreciate your feedback. To clarify it's not a deal for "~$80 for 2 kg = $40/kg delivered." It's a deal for $78.20 including delivery for 500g delivered once a month for 4 months (4 separate deliveries of 500g), as opposed to a single delivery of 2kg in 2x1kg bags. Understand it still may not be the ideal deal for you, "to each their own," just thought it was important to clarify the deal to ensure we're on the same page :)

    Ordered this when I saw the email come through, as 500g a month is a really good amount for us (2 drinkers, usually only one cup a day using a French press). We find one kilo a bit too much and don’t want to faff around with freezing etc. can’t wait to start.

    Tom whats the benefit if you're after 1kg a month? Your original FBC deal 1kg of every moments was $19.62 + $4.99 delivery, your second was $28.12 + $4.99 and this deal is $28.50 + 4.99. Now I understand the price hike due to global coffee prices and other economical factors. But why does the frequent buyers club charge more per a delivery at the 1kg threshold rather than ur limited time offers? Your last Moments to Memories deal was $25.50 + $6.99. To be clear this is 1 dollar more per a delivery of 1kg of Every moments compared to ur last limited time offer and was also posted after your FBC 2 post. So I'm thinking I'm better off waiting for next 1kg deal as will have more flex-ability on days. FYI I subscribed to you first 2 FBC and absolutely love your coffee.

      Morning @Ragzs really appreciate the nicely worded frankness of your message. I think overall you've worded your queries in a very fair and respectful manner, which hasn't gone unnoticed, thank you and I'm wrapped to know you "absolutely love" our coffee!!!

      I do appreciate your acknowledgment of "global coffee prices and other economical factors" in your comment, as opposed to numbers comparisons without any context. The prices have been a tad wild on our side, inflation and shipping has played it's part, but mostly it's due to natural factors e.g. frost in Brazil wiping out crops (Brazil produces roughly 1/3 of global coffee production, so an impact there impacts global prices) and also due to the FX rate of AUD:USD (coffee is traded in USD). On average we pay multiple times the C price (coffee commodity price), but the C price does have an impact on all coffee. Recently the C price has gone down a bit from the hikes from the coffee production (Brazil) and export (transport strikes in Colombia) issues, but our costs have actually gone up as recently as in October because the reduction in the AUD value has more than counteracted the C price reduction.

      In terms of your numbers, I don't believe the "$19.62 + $4.99 delivery" pricing on our initial FBC 1.0 deal for 1kg per month of our Moments to Memories blend is an ideal price comparison to our FBC 2.0 or this current deal FBC round, as there's too many differences between them, below are a few:

      • $19.62 was the cost for 1 x 1kg bag. $28.12 and $29.10 (this deal is 60 cents more per kg than "$28.50") are both for 2 x 500g which requires double packaging, labels and more than twice the time to pack 2 x 500g compared to 1 x 1kg
      • $19.62 was for a 52% discount in November 2021. $28.12 was for a 40% discount in July 2022 and $29.10 for a 40% discount in November 2022
      • $19.62 was for 6, monthly prepaid orders, meaning each order generated 50% more prepaid revenue than $28.12 and $29.10 which are both based in 4, monthly prepaid orders

      I still don't think year apart comparisons are ideal to make a decision today. I personally think price comparisons for purchase decisions are better suited to today's prices vs. future pricing. However, I can 100% appreciate different people have different systems to decide about purchases. If comparing the 2021 pricing is part of your process to assess today's value then it may be better to compare based on the same product of 2 x 500g and the same discount of 40%. In this instance 52% off 2021 pricing for 1 x 1kg = $19.62 becomes 40% of 2021 pricing for 2 x 500g = $28.12

      Here's the differences of our 40% FBC Moments to Memories product compared to the same 40% discount on a one-time deal on Moments to Memories based on today's pricing:

      • FBC product standard flat-rate shipping $4.99 vs. one-time product standard flat-rate shipping $6.99
      • FBC product express flat-rate shipping $6.99 vs. one-time product express flat-rate shipping $12.99
      • FBC product deal locks in a discount for 4 months worth of deliveries vs. one-time product deal means you can lock in a maximum of 2 months worth of deliveries with our unique scheduled dispatch system
      • FBC products offer a little bit less life admin as a single order covers 4 shipments vs. one-time products is one shipment per order, so 4 shipments means placing 4 separate orders
      • FBC includes exclusive products not available for one-time purchases
      • FBC products all (including Moments to Memories) have a 40% discount live now vs. one-time products currently have no live discount and we haven't yet figured out any potential future deals. We focus on one deal at a time. Our next deal may be Moments or may be something else. Full-prices may change and % of discount may change, not saying it will, just that "tomorrow is promised to no one"
      • One-time products have the option of 1kg or 500g bags vs. FBC products are exclusively sent out in 500g bags
      • One-time products are available in optional pre-ground form vs. FBC products are only available in whole beans form
      • One-time products can be placed as a single order vs. FBC products are placed as 4 prepaid orders
      • One-time products allow customers to choose from a very flexible dispatch date schedule vs. FBC products have a more restricted dispatch date time frame

      As a result of the cheaper shipping, product for product our FBC deal is cheaper than the same % off a one-time product e.g. FBC MTM @ 40% off 2 x 500g $29.10+ $4.99 per dispatch = $34.09 vs. one-time MTM @ 40% off 2 x 500g $29.10+ $6.99 per dispatch = $36.09 . However, if your focus is saving money and you're not too fussed about smaller packaging to maintain/extend freshness (freeze one bag while using the other) or grouping your order to split with someone, then with a 40% off discount deal based a one-time product of 1 x 1kg bag with $6.99 shipping you'll save $1.60 per kg vs. a 40% discount deal on a FBC product of 2 x 500g bags per month with $4.99 shipping.

      There's different benefits for both our FBC and one-time products, it comes down to your personal preference of which benefits suits you best. Once again, thank you for reaching out in the way you did and I hope my response is helpful :)

Makes sense the additional $1.60 per a kilo coming down to packaging in two bags. Its just the Scrooge in me arguing for 1kg bags be added to FBC to minimise costs. This time round I'll end up going 1.5kg an order as my tolerance for caffeine has unfortunately been improving since being part of FBC!

The monthly schedule is possible right now, slight caveat is that our Brazil São Paulo is only currently available at full-price. We tend to focus on one deal at a time. I'm confident we'll likely run a future deal for our much loved Brazil São Paulo Single Origin, however, I honestly don't know when it will be or what the deal will specifically look like in terms of pricing/discount. Sorry I can't give you a more specific time frame or even narrow it down to 2022 or 2023, but if you get in supply dire straits AKA a coffee emergency then at least you know it's currently available for purchase and scheduled dispatch :)

      Happy to shout out if availability changes. Please don't get your hopes up too much, as we've had a Surprise Mystery Flight waiting list going since Monday morning (this SMF sold out at lightning speed). There'd need to be a number of cancellations to get you a spot on this Surprise Mystery Flight. Just had a look and I think your OZ B profile settings don't allow DMs, could you please send an email to [email protected] and I'll add you to the waitlist?

      If you're still keen on joining this FBC round beyond our SMF option, then we still have spots available for our It's Summer Somewhere, Moments to Memories and our SWP Decaf options :)
