12-Month Centr Fitness Program Subscription for $89.99 Upfront (Was $120) @ Centr

82

Hi all, first post from me!
I saw this last night on their website, and got the email this morning.

Normally the 12 month sub to the Centr fitness programme is $10/month, or rather $120 upfront. This promo brings it down to $7.50/month, or rather $89.99 upfront.

If you've never looked at Centr before, you can still do the 7 day trial first to see how they have set it up.

I think it's a great programme with something for everyone. Subscribing for 12 months upfront helps keep you committed to the change too.

Fine print at end of offer:
Your chosen 12 months plan saves you 75% off the monthly price. Your account will be charged every 12 months from 12 November 2022. Upgrade or cancel your plan on the website in your account settings at any time.
Cyber Offer is available between 11 Nov 2022 to 4 Dec 2022 PT, on 12-month subscription only.

Always ummed and ahhed about this one.
On one hand, it's done by Chris Hemsworth. On the other hand, it's done by Chris Hemsworth.
Celebrity endorsed apps tend to be a rebadged version of the free fitness information that's out there already, but this one has had a good review in Mens Health.

Regardless, their fine print needs to be redone, as the current offer does not represent a 75% discount under any stretch of the imagination.

    • Yes, that is wrong. With this deal, you are paying 75% of the price, with a 25% discount.

    • standard monthly rate according to website is 29.99 aud. A monthly rate of 7.5 therefore represents a 75% discount

      • That makes more sense.
Was going off the info by the OP. Still it's their first post, and not a bad one at that

        • I live for math.

        • Thank you I appreciate the honest feedback.
As with many "deals" today, they always have to be read in their entirety. The 12 month sub is normally marketed as 66% off.

Gotta be careful, if they're willing to pay Chris Hemsworth to be the face, don't you think they have the money to pay off the biggest mens magazine out there?

If you believe the narrative, this was all setup as a business idea by Chris Hemsworth and his personal training team.
It has recently been sold to a US company so not sure how the relationship works now.
I personally feel that reputable magazines value their integrity, and so their articles aren't completely biased.

Had this last year when Amex was providing free 1 year subscription. It's okay.. Don't think I will pay 90 dollars for it tbh.

Yeah same thoughts. It has decent workouts but with little but of elbow grease you can find everything you’ll ever need on youtube for free.

I have and use this app all the time. Initially got it when it was 12 months free with Amex but use it daily now, saves me doing the elbow grease and thinking and putting a plan together. I have paid $50 - $60 a week doing F45 so this plus a gym membership is worth it in my opinion.

I found the value the same way as you.
A cheap but well equipped gym plus this meant I didn't have to think about what to do each day in the gym. I could even let it tell me what to eat!

Warning: if you do sign up, and aren't happy with it or don't want to continually, don't forget to cancel!

I contacted them immediate after my initial year was up and the automatically renewed a second year. They initially refused to refund as it's not a part of their policy.

    • Same here. They don't send any emails after the first few days of joining. Shady company imo

Downvote , Stung by their auto-renew and they could not care-less .
No notice of pending renewal till after the transaction.

    • You actually need to downvote for it to count haha hit the [ - ] at the top of the page and it will flag your comment also (like mine).
