Scoot, the new player on the low cost airline scene, has some extremely cheap flights from 09 Jul, 2012 - 31 Aug, 2012.

From GOLD COAST

15kg Luggage $22 extra.

From Singapore one can fly to anywhere in asia fairly cheaply using Tiger, Jetstar and Airasia. They seem to be beating Airasia X in pricing if not in inflight comfort.

      There is plenty of promo fares left but not on all dates. i just checked now. For instance Aug 15-18 from gc.

    Might want to add costs for the return flights as often they'll make going there cheap but coming back expensive.

      thats jetstar, not scoot and airasia x :) the cheapest flights back from sing are in late august for about aud 150

    this is MOSTLY sold out, i.e. hard to find Sydney-Bangkok for under $500-600 return, so heaps difference from $169!!!

      because FlyBag fare includes 15kgs, so you pay $10 more for the extra 5kgs

    Remember flights to Bangkok require overnight stopover in Singapore.

    FYI, my partner's family has flown Singapore to Syd a few times on scoot and say it is really crap. I know you get what you pay for, but be prepaired for very poor service, late flights, and overpriced food onboard. Just a heads up. If the price is right though, I will still fly with them :)
