    Thanks OP.

I always find it fascinating to look at "10 years warranty", then "PU leather" in product description :)

    • LOL, yeah, but normal tear and wear isn’t covered by warranty though.
Once it starts to peel it’s disgusting, especially in summer when shorts are worn!

      • normal wear and tear not covered

        accidents - covered?

        :(

      • You can argue that normal wear and tear doesn't include peeling, especially if its within a couple of years and you have followed the maintenance/cleaning instructions.

    • You should read the fine print for the warranty.

Usually these long warranties say they don't cover any of the fabric parts or parts you make contact with.

  • How does this compare to Ikea Marcus or jarvjallet?

I have a marcus, with the PU finish. Ergo is good, back is ventilated. The PU from the sides of the base is ratty. I'd go the marcus again but with the fabric base (fart sponge ftw).

      • Can also just go for a standard office chair design and just get a washable seat and back rest cover. I feel like with all the fancy mesh / leather options this gets overlooked.

avoid the jarvjallet at all costs, the padding on the base is suitable only for casual / short use (ie an hour or so studying after school etc). absolutely not ok for 8hrs wfh.

Ex-Jarvjallet owner sharing the same sentiment. Seat cushion is stiff, so the chair is uncomfortable for more than a couple of hours use at a time.

I had the darker coloured seat though. After trying my friend's beige one, I felt that one isn't as stiff, but I would still not recommend.

PU chairs Ive had fall part quickly, looking for something fabric or mesh

  • Mesh back for me

  • PU leather is super plastic-y and not breathable at all. I would definitely recommend fabric/mesh or actual leather for anyone who overheats and tend to sweat like me.

  • PU falls apart fast. The 10 year warranty will surely exclude that ha ha

  • Is this one or Costco mesh one? Anyone used both with opinion please….

  • does it come with a pleather replacement guarantee?
