Get TicPods ANC for free as well per promo

    • Oh nice, didn't notice that.

  • This or the ticwatch pro s? Currently $130

    • whats the diff ?

    • I have seen the Pro S recently between $100 to $110 on Amazon.

    • This. I got ticwatch pro s, not much difference other than a few gimmicks at the OS level.

  • Are these well supported or end of life?

    • It wont get the latest wearos update (due to cpu), but then again hey my Pro 3 Ultra still hasnt received it either!

I reckon good buy at that price or just get the galaxy watch 4 that ow wil be selling for 200 (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/736665)

  • Have been wanting to try out a smart watch to see if its something I would actually use, at this price I'll give it a shot :)

    • +1

im sure soon you feel its better to keep $89 on the drawer instead of keeping the watch :)

      • I agree. Unless you absolutely definitely need a smart watch right now, put the $85 in the drawer and save for a better watch.

        • for 49$ without the buds i may get for fun.
but again maybe still not. .i have 3-4 smart watches in the past. all are disappointment. yes they are not the latest galaxy or iwatch but i finally realise they are just crap no matter what. we are not there yet (the battery, the o/s, and if there is one good it will be $800)

          • @CyberMurning: "for 49$"

I say less. $30 for fun.

In 2022 you should not be getting anything less than Snapdragon 4100. And I am saying this while being aware of the problems with wearOS.
Personally I would avoid wearOS and get Garmin.

            • @harshbdmmaster718: You all scared me off and I tried to cancel but it was too late hahaha

              • @thesab: Depends on your expectations of the watch. You might enjoy it for $85 but keep in mind it's from 2018 which for technology is quite old.
If you read the reviews Mobvoi has some problems such as water damage when it's claimed "military grade". If you don't experience any issues maybe you will be ok.

                • @harshbdmmaster718: Obviously can't expect too much, the fact that its from 2018 is super misleading. 2 vs 4 years is huge for tech especially something as "new" as smart watches. Looked up the processor as well and that was released in 2016.

                  • @thesab: everyone will not expect too much, and yes it will perform -at some degree… and you will happy — for the first 4 weeks.. after that, its in the drawer… .. and looking back, your 4 weeks without it actually will be just fine… so why spending that $ in the first place ? … thats my 2c anyway

                    • @CyberMurning: At least it has NFC pay. So you could use just the convenience of that feature and turn all other features off to extend battery life.

I did this with a Garmin Venu SQ 1, I just use it for NFC pay and turned all activity tracking and bluetooth off to get great battery life It just lasted 11 days and still 54% battery remaining. But I wouldn't expect this kind of battery life from wearOS.
I paid $140 for the SQ though and it's got it's own downsides such as LCD screen which is a bit unresponsive. But not really an issue because triggering NFC shortcut is very easy.

  • How do you order the earbuds? I'm not seeing it when buying the watch.

      • Seems it's no longer the case … It doesn't have a promotion section on the watch page (for me anyway), and adding both to cart doesn't see a discount.

        • correct. this morning okay, now no more

and if you go to the earbud page, it says

  • Does anyone know if returning the watch, whether both items (watch and buds) need to be returned to be refunded with Amazon Prime?

    • Possibly but to be fair the buds aren't nothing special to hold onto anyway so might as well send back

  • Don't be fooled by 2020 in the title. Amazon's date first available shows watch is from 2018, the Ticwatch Pro S is the actual 2020 release model.

    • Also thought to share, this video got recommended to me and gives feedback on the Ticwatch Pro's battery life claims.
      https://youtu.be/8pk3FuL1VJ4

It is quite misleading because they claim Up to 5 days battery life with Mixed use. But in reality it's 2 days battery life with wearOS+3 days battery life in Essential mode which means just as a normal watch with step counter. Either way you cut it it's Up to 2 days battery life as a smart watch. The claimed 30 day battery life is with the watch in Essential mode all the time.
