  • Has anyone here self taught themselves adobe software and use it to make money on the side?

    • +6

      Self taught - yea

Make money from it as a side hustle- no..

It does help me in my line of work though rather than depending on marketing to prepare promotional material.

If you are serious about making money with the Adobe photo editing software, shouldn't you be looking at the expensive PhotoShop rather than PhotoShop Elements?

      • I didn't know elements was the lower grade product. Is Photoshop the best one?

        • yes, Photoshop Wlements is targeted towards everyday people, while regular Photoshop is for professionals (has wayyyyyy more features and is more complex)

        • +1

Yes Photoshop is their professional product.
Have a look here for how to get it cheap https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/679088

I use Adobe Photoshop Elements for photo editing and DaVinci Resolve for video editing. The two programs have very different purposes.

Yeah I mistook this post as being for premier elements

i use photoshop elements to scan and restore old photos and slides for the family , not sure it’s something i could monetize on a regular basis. i did 100s as it free, if i charged i might get the occasional job restore an anzac photo .

    • Woah, I never realised Blackmagic took ownership of Da Vinci Resolve. It looks amazing now! Their editing hardware/keyboards look nifty too!

  • No Premiere Elements?

    • I’d like to know this too although Davinci is free

      • It looks like you can upgrade both Photoshop and Premiere Elements for $120.

I have an old verision, 13… I wonder if that qualifies as an upgrade?

        • +4

I have elements 16, while everyone else in my photo club uses the Photoshop subscription. I've never found anything they can do on that that I can't do on Elements.

        • Is photoshop /premiere bundle in the Microsoft shop because I can't see it there???

          • @Serpeant: No, directly through Adobe, but it looks like it's $120 US for the bundle.

    Laughs in Affinity Photo?

    Real OZbargainer has VPN, pass.

    • Meaning? How does a VPN help you edit pics? Or is Elements cheaper in Africa or Asia? And is it still in English?

if your needs aren't too big for photoshop/can't afford it/want to be frugal, you could try out photopea which is a free web based software that I use regularly for making minor touchups to images. It works similarly to photoshop.
