    Was excited for the Olight iTHX until I saw it was a Olight i1R 2 reskin, which uses Micro-USB Charging (Was hoping it was the i1R2 Pro reskin that uses USB-C)

      Yeah, not ideal but OK for free I suppose. Maybe would even prefer the Gober as I got a couple of those during an earlier sale. They seem OK. When we start to do stuff like camping or hiking would be good to throw on the back of our backpacks or whatever if it gets dark. I guess we could use them if we start walking again in the evening. Bit of a torch otaku and our toddler of course likes anything that lights up.

          My comment may have been a bit confusing. I have a lot of the different types of free torches that olight have offered over the years. I also have a couple of the gobers. Would probably prefer another gober but I'll use my regular account to try to get the other free stuff.

      Hmmm… I'd assumed it was an IXV (i1R2 Pro re-skin) because it's styled the same, and i was going to suggest maybe it was a copy/paste typo - Especially because that text seems out of place. But when you actually look at the build underneath that, it sure does look like an i1R 2 skinned with the IXV style. I guess they had 2022 too many i1R 2 parts on hand overseas, so they sent em to us and produced a "Limited Edition" build. Probably explains the plain color options

      Yeah, I've actually won something good from olight in the past too. The spin and win is free and doesn't take much effort so it's worthwhile trying to do it every day. You still have to pay for postage for your prize but I always buy some cheap stuff anyway to get the other free gifts.

                @ozbs25: As I understand it from the terms you don't have to worry too much about remembering everday as your number of spins should keep building up if unused. In theory you could just keep clicking the 'claim a spin' (?) button on the last day and spin them all at once.

      Well done! I found all 15 Treasure Chests in the treasure hunt (not long after it went live) - Then i read 1 prize per person, but it'll be interesting to see whether it's anything decent! I've started to wonder whether member level becomes a factor on the prize wheel since it was introduced - Curious to know if you're a mid-tier member?

          I was like that once. For some reason I just like shiny things. Don't get out much to use them, but like buying them nonetheless. Made my way up through some of the levels. Don't know how people get to the higher tiers. Must be spending a tonne of money.

            @ozbs25: The one thing that's putting me off with the iTHX is the lack of a replaceable battery. The recent i3E EOS freebie was good because you could chuck a AAA in it. Sealed, possibly off brand rechargeables like what's in the iTHX may die in a short time, and not be easy to replace.

              @bdl: i don't know what you consider a short time but i've had my freebie i1r2 eos since september 2020 and it's still working fine. i only use it occasionally so can't really tell if there's been a significant reduction in run time. it hasn't had any problems charging either. i like having a mix of small, usb-rechargeable and alkaline-powered lights.
