    But I too am curious as to what this actually means in relation to the homebase.

    They are standalone. Storage is internal and it doesn’t connect to homebase.

    However the new Homebase 3 has support ‘coming in December 2022’ for this model. Not sure exactly what this means.

        The 4 pack is on sale at JB Hi-fi and GoodGuys down from $1999 to $1699. Not sure if it will get better over coming days but a decent discount
