  • Thanks OP

  • Processed & packed in Aus but origin unknown

      They originated from a pig.

    • Yeah, you can see the following text on the Amazon pack shot…"contains local and imported products"

  • +9

Bow Wow sure has diversified his portfolio since he became an irrelevant rapper.

  • Thanks OP. Oink Oink. This is indeed the cheapest pig ears I have seen in ages. Most stores go only as low as $2 ea in a pack of 10

Unfortunately, the seller has put a restriction of 1 per customer. :(

    • They're usually about $14 for this pack on amazon. Buy them regularly

    • +1

Unfortunately the restriction has killed my plans of making a pig skin suit

      • Could hybridise with the rabbit ears. Also on special

    • just buy normal bacon lol

    • +2

Humans like pig ears too. Why do dogs get the good stuff?

      • +1

Cause dogs are better than humans?

  • great price, fresh one is like $10/kg, about 3-4 and take hours to dry.

  • +3

    • You got 3 Amazon A/C's ?

    • Just get a dog so you can make use of it

      • Just get a 3 dogs so you can make use of it

  • I presume these are very hard? Always a bit iffy about giving very hard treats to my dog at the fear of it getting stuck in her throat.

    • These are long chew treats. Never seen a dog swallow these without first chewing them to oblivion.

    • +1

      Just cut up the ears.

My little shih tzu tried to consume his as fast as possible so I had to slice it up so he'd at least choke on smaller pieces.

      • I suppose but wouldn't cutting it result in pieces with sharp edges, which could be a hazard when swallowing?
Keen to try different treats but may pass on this and stick to softer jerky type treats.

        • I supervise my little guy when he's chewing a piece. My bitch however is fine because she chews her food quite slowly.

I'd give pigs ears to my dogs a few times a year. Especially when I need them to be quiet during an important meeting, etc. Maybe once a quarter. It's not something they get regularly.

Hence why everyone is rushing to buy these packets. Because 10 ears could last 10 months at least.

Also, not sure of your breed but as my dogs are brachycephalic and have beards, their teeth may be cleaner afterwards but their faces get quite dirty.

        • I seriously advise againste cuting these. You can practically shave your beard with these after cutting them.

          • @DontNeedThis: I actually fed one of these today to my dogs.

I cut one in half down the grain and then tore it apart further in to seperate layers. Compared to last time where my little guy choked, he chewed up his thinner piece quite nicely.

    • Yeah they are hard. I've seen my lab gag hard while eating these but he knows what he's doing.

  • Thanks OP!

Shame it's limited quantities, reduces the chance of finding a rare silk purse in the bag.

  • Thanks, got one. Just bought $75 Amazon gift card + $5 bonus this morning. After deduct $5, the price dropped to $4.68.

  • -6

Ahh that explains why the cops couldn't hear me yesterday

  • +1

I don't own a dog but I cant pass on such a bargain. Hopefully some dogs get listed on BF sales that I can use my amex offer with.

  • +1

Any good for making silk purses?

  • -2

This is a waste of good food

  • Bought a bag for my girl! She loves it. Thanks op !

  • Cheers! Ripper deal

  • a 1kg bag of pigs ear strips is $38.99 on ebay - come from kangaroo flat vic - huge bag and good for our small dog.

  • These things stink my house out. Hooley dooley they're nasty. Outside only treats

    • Depends on the bag for us. Generally they don't smell but we've had a few that are bad.

    • Gross hey.. veggie ears are better for all concerned.

      • -1

Pig ears would be a waste product otherwise. Veggie ears have to be manufactured. So not better on all fronts.

        • Sure

  • These 10 pack would it be a kilo ? Or 500grams or ?

    • 1 pigs ear is approx 40g apparently.. Thanks Google!

  • Why can’t I order more then 1 pack 🤬

    • The supplier does not have enough pigs.

      • Maybe they should get some hahaahahah

  • Tomorrow they're on sale for like $12 at big W as well, probably no limit.

$12.60, online only price.. $14 otherwise
