        For my use, form factor matters, i just want something as small as a book but provides functionality to do some reading on the go, check emails, hotel reservations etc.

        Media consumption and battery would be better in the duet 5 but normally i'd do that on a TV and wouldn't mind to charge it at night or when i'm not using.

        This is a lot cheaper. They're the same platform - Snapdragon 7c gen 2, 8GB/128GB eMMC, so performance is the same. The Duet 3 is an IPS screen vs. OLED, so this one won't get burn in. It's also a higher resolution (2000 x 1200 vs. 1920 x 1080), and not Pentile, better aspect ratio (15:9 vs 16:9) and no PWM.
