All mattresses come with a 10-year limited warranty (15-year for Onebed Original & Onebed X). Free 125-night trial. If you don't love your Onebed mattress for any reason, we'll pick it up for free, donate the mattress to charity and refund all your money. Trying a Onebed mattress is truly risk-free.

A lot of you may have noticed our competitors have all increased their prices quite significantly. This is due to the Australian dollar weakening, manufacturing costs increasing, raw materials costs increasing, and the general inflation that has hit everyone accross the board.

We are doing everything we can at Onebed to keep our prices as low as possible. However, we will likely have to increase our prices at the end of this year, so pickup a mattress now at our pre-inflation prices.

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2022

  • Would this 125 nights free trial be applicable for discounted products? (Read somewhere on the site that trial will not be applicable on discounted referrals)

    • Yes, 125-night trial is definitely applicable for discounted products. The text you may be reading that voids the 125-night trial is ONLY applicable to our refer-a-friend program (which is no longer running).

The prices you see here are the cheapest you can get our products for. There are no hidden discount/coupon codes that will make anything cheaper than as you see it on our store right now. (As mentioned, you can use CashRewards for 7% cashback as well).

Care to share the main differences from Koala/Ecosa?

    • Yes also keen to understand this

    • +11

Our Onebed Original is our competing product with the "Ecosa Mattress" by Ecosa, and the "Koala Mattress" by Koala. All three mattresses are adjustable in firmness.

      Current prices are:

      • Onebed Original Mattress: $695 (with 7% cashback)
      • Koala Mattress: $857.22
      • Ecosa Mattress: $862.50

All three mattresses have a HD Polyurethane base foam, and then a comfort layer that consists of two comfort materials. Ecosa uses two different types of memory foam in their top layer. Koala also uses two types of memory foam for their top layer. Onebed uses a cooling gel memory foam and a natural latex for our comfort layer. Latex is more expensive than using a latex imitation, but we believe it is worth it.

For the most part, if I'm being brutally honest, the mattresses will appear similar in this category, they are all good mattresses, but we offer a longer warranty than Koala, and we beat both Ecosa and Koala on price (quite significantly). We are a much smaller company in comparison to Ecosa and Koala, who both have expanded internationally. We focus exclusively on the Australian market, and we've managed to streamline our costs to the point we can offer a very similar product to Koala and Ecosa but for a better price.

Worth noting as well that on third-party review platform (Productreview.com.au) we have much better reviews than Ecosa, and similar reviews to Koala.

      Better reviews, better price.

  • For reference I purchased a single 8" for $349 two years ago on a 40% off deal. $50 odd increase since then is fair enough imo.

Daughter loves the bed btw. I'd buy another if I needed it.

    • Thanks for the comment max, glad your daughter loves the bed :)

Prices have increased over the years, but definitely not to the extent of our competitors. We believe our competitors spend a lot more on marketing/advertising than we do, which allows them to charge more for their product. We really don't want to go down this route, and largely rely on social media and word of mouth.

  • I got two of their queens and they are better than the spring mattress i had from ikea. I get backache so very happy with them. Not sure how they compare with emma. She won't tell me

    • Thanks a lot for your comment :) glad to hear you are sleeping better on a Onebed.

May I ask how long have you had them for? I’m 95kg, and a common complaint with all of these mattress in a boxes seem to be they begin to lose their firmness and shape relatively quickly.

I’m tossing up between something like this deal or an entry level Sealy mattress for about the same price.

      • interested in a reply to this

        • +1

Ummm a year and they seem to be going well. The good thing was to be able to adjust the firmness. My ikea one did start to dip. I have read reviews on onebed too that they sag and it needs to be a certain amount of dip before you can claim warranty so dont just go with my experience. Do your research (or 125 days trial)

      • +1

We have an anti-sag warranty. If you can provide photos showing the mattress is sagging more than 4cm, we will replace it. We are not so strict on the 4cm rule. If it's clear it's sagging, we will replace it. It's uncommon for our mattresses to sag, but it can happen if customers keep the mattresses boxed for too long. We recommend unboxing within 7 days of receiving your mattress.

If you're heavier, I would recommend getting a Onebed X. It's a hybrid mattress, and the springs in combination with the edge support and HD base foam will prevent sagging for even the heaviest customer.

        • does the hybrid mattress still come boxed?

          • @kirbycake: Yes it does. Unlike the Onebed Original and Essential, it is only rolled, so the box is long and skinny. The Onebed Original and Onebed Essential are folded and then rolled.

I purchased a Queen size in 2017 and it was great for about 12 months with good edge support as well (I'm about 100kg), even left a good review after receiving an email from onebed offering a free pillow if a review was left (still waiting for the pillow btw :D )
Over the next 12 months my side started to dip and the edges lost all support, and even with rotating the mattress every few days it just got worse, the problem with the memory foam is that it's very hard to measure the dip once you aren't laying on it as it springs back up almost instantly, so I've put up with it, I have bulked up under the middle of my side of the bed with yoga mats to counteract the dip and its as good as it's going to get. I find I end up laying on my side up against the wall as I've squashed a blanket in between the side of the mattress and the wall and that gives me something more solid to lie on.

        • Hi Koolstik,

Have you tried contacting our support before? If not, send them an e-mail at [email protected] - if you're able to show some visible sagging then we are happy to replace. While our terms say 4cm is our requirement, we are lenient if the picture shows visible sagging.

Also, if you didn't receive your pillow, please reach out and we will make sure to ship one out! :)

  • how long does the delivery take to Brisbane?

    • Normally 2-3 business days. We quote 2-5 business days to account for the occasional delay.

  • In your warranty FAQ it states 'visible indentation', what about sags that you can feel only when you lie down on it? I had a Koala mattress that looked straight but it sagged a lot when weight was on it.

Edit : just saw your response 2 comments above, go figure 😂

  • I've had a queen sized mattress since 2016. Granted it's been incredibly comfortable and has helped my bad back but lately the sag has been very irritating and can make it a little difficult to get up in the morning.

  • I have had 2 of the 10 inch king size one for over 4 years now and one I brought only 6 months ago. Great matress and was amazed to see even the 12 inch one on special this time . Wish I had brought that .

    • Thanks a lot for the kind comment Glen, really glad to hear you're enjoying your Onebed mattresses.

  • I have been told that a mattress WITHOUT coil springs is more likely to "sleep hot". Is this the case with your 8-inch and 10-inch Onebed mattresses?

      Hi there,

Based on ProductReview.com.au (a third-party independent review platform) when asked the question, does the Onebed Mattress retain heat: Yes (245) · No (966) - 79% of users report the mattress does not retain heat.

The vast majority of sleepers report that the Onebed Original mattress does not sleep hot.

For the essential, the results were: Yes (174) · No (557) - 76% of users report that the Onebed Essential does not retain heat.

Comparing this to our Hybrid mattress (The Onebed X), the results were Yes (54) · No (208) - 79% of users report the Onebed X does not retain heat.

If we look at Sleeping Duck (springs), a competitor of our Onebed X - their results also come in at 79% of users reporting the Sleeping Duck does not retain heat, a similar result to Onebed X (springs) and Onebed Original (foam)

These results show that it's not true that a mattress without springs will sleep hotter.

      • Thank you onebedmattress for your detailed and informative reply which I found very helpful.

I'm in the market to buy a bed and comparing you, Emma and Noa.
How's the orthopaedic support compared to Emma bed with HRX foam? Noticed only onebed X and your topper have the 5 zones support?

    • Hi Ceri,

That's correct, only our Onebed X and our topper has 5-zone support. I am not familiar and haven't tested the quality of Emma's HRX foam, so I can't comment unfortunately.

      • Ah gotcha. So prolly not regular onebed if we’re looking for otrhopaedic support then..

  • Why would a real quality mattress need an expensive topper ? Confused

    • +1

A topper is not required for any of our mattresses. Some people combine a topper with the Onebed Original if they want that "pillow top" feel. Most of the customers that purchase our toppers are normally buying it for an old mattress, to bring it back to life if they cannot afford a replacement yet.

  • Ordered a Onebed X - looking forward to trying it!

    • +1

Awesome, thanks for your trust and support :) I'm sure you'll love it.

  • Hi @onebedmattress,
Mate hope you are the founder or one of the founders of this co. if not you need a pay rise! good info. I'm sold.
one the lookout for double bed matress that is firm> very firm, what you suggest

    • +1

      Hi ashikk,

I am one of the founders, thanks for your kind words. The Onebed Original 10" is medium firm to firm with the two adjustable comfort layers. You can use the base foam as the top layer, and this will make it very firm. Normally only people that like a firm to very firm mattress will use this configuration.

      • Hi @onebedmattress,

Im a side sleeper and not happy with my current mattress (I believe its a 8/10 firmness). I almost everyday wake up with a stiff neck and shoulders' pain.
A few weeks ago I went away and slept in a bed with a much softer mattress and the pain pretty much disappeared for the next few mornings!

So now I'm looking for the perfect mattress. I am about 75kg and definitely a side sleeper, partner is slightly lighter and a bit of a mix sleeper.

        • How is the Original 10" firmness in each of their 3 layer configurations (i.e. 5/10, 6/10, etc.)? and how does it compares, in terms of firmness, to Onebed X?
        • What is your recommendation?
  • What would the one X queen be considered when it comes to firmness? looking for something more medium maybe slightly soft too..

    • +1

The Onebed X is classed as 7/10 firmness. The top layer is plush and springy, and it gets progressively firmer as you go down in layers. Normally people that like a medium firmness are happy with the Onebed X.

  • Thanks op, was at Myer today and nearly pulled the trigger on a Sleepmaker from their mid range (50% online but the agent offered a further 10% off instore), but the feature set, trial period and 15 year warranty on the X swayed me. Looking forward to our new sleep!

  • -1

I'm looking at your original matresses as I need something close to my Freedom Nimbus medium firmness. Am I getting the right ones?

They are for my parents and brother who won't be here anytime soon, just taking advantage of your sale and probably test them myself.

What is that 30 days in your 125 nights free return? What's the difference between returning the matress within 30 days vs 125 days?

You do cover for visible sagged matresses with picture (I assume that would be permanent sag), what if the matress sags only when you lay down? Would a video help in this case or you do not cover it at all?

    Thanks

  • When does the sale finish? Looking to purchase by end of week!

    • ends Tues 13th

  • Hi OP, i just purchased this. My partner gets really hot with our current mattress.. i hope this doesn't cause any issues.
