[Android] Slay The Spire $9.49 (Was $13.99) @ Google Play Store

310

First time on sale on Android for this highly rated* game. (32% off)

*Slay The Spire, the game is highly rated (83-89 Metacritic on other platforms). The Android port itself has been buggy, so has a relatively low rating on the Play Store (3.8 on AU store). eg. On latest Android (Android 13), apparently the game crashes if you minimise it. Also crashes if you press continue after a win before the game finishes syncing, I believe. Stuff like that. So keep that in mind.

Just trying to be up front and transparent about the issues with the Android port, just so you are aware. Despite it all, this game is amazing, and even with all the bugs, is totally worth it to play on mobile! :)

I played it on Xbox Game Pass, but have been waiting for it to go on sale on mobile (to spend Google Rewards credit, and because I no longer have Game Pass).

FWIW, alternative ways to play on mobile: X-Cloud streaming through Game Pass (which I was using previously), Steam Link streaming from your PC, or iOS port.

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2022

Great game held back by a really awkward UI on mobile. It's not real touch input, more like an invisible mouse cursor. Took me a while to get used to but highly worth it

    • That's weird. I didn't have that experience. It played as smoothly as any other card game for me.

What device are you playing on?

      • A Fold 4 and an iPhone mini (yes I bought it twice)

Shame that it sounds like it's a bad port of a good game.

The crashing is annoying, but it's not game breaking.

The game saves at each level so you never lose your progress.

It still hasn't stopped me putting hundred of hours into it. It's the definitive single player deck building game imo.

  • Absolutely fantastic game. Hopefully they continue to patch it

  • Amazing game, I wish I'd gotten the board game when it was on Kickstarter!

  • Fantastic game. Have sunk soooo many hours into it. I don't have an issue using it on Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus. Only jank thing is that once it loads to the menu, it doesn't detect google play, it will just sit there, so I tab out to the loaded apps screen and back again and it loads the google play thing and I continue on.
