    I have two of the Ranger 2 4MP and they're solid performers. Quality and motion tracking is excellent too.

    Main difference is the 2 has ethernet (no PoE) compared to the 2C.

      so 2c is wifi only?

      and the ranger 2 has both wifi and ethernet option?

      how do you mount it and does it have magnet on the base?

      also got some same pic compare 1080p vs 4mp you can share?

        2 is ethernet + wifi, 2c is wifi only. Otherwise besides physical appearance they remain the same.

        It's not designed to be mounted on a wall or ceiling - they have other cameras for that. Sit on a surface somewhere.

        I don't have a comparison pic but it comes in either 2MP or 4MP. Basically double the pixels with 4MP so you'll get much clearer detail at 1080p.

          hmm, so there is no screw attachment or magnet or nothing
          just a base to put on the desk?
          it does limit how you can attach it then..

          they do have other cameras, but only these type can rotate, which makes it good for attach outdoor to look around a wide area vs a fix camera.
          other cameras are also probably more expensive that can rotate.

          yeah i know but would be good to see a pic of the difference.
          you can choose between 1080p and 4mp in the app.
          Can you take screenshot in the imou app and post both pics?

    If you don't want to use it with the cloud, can you set this up with the app (which I guess is required for wifi setup) then block internet access with your router's firewall and then use ONVIf (eg with tinycam) on your local network?
    Is the camera OK with not being able to connect to the cloud?
