  • nice spot!
but may i ask how to ask for price match at OW? do you print out the nscom.com page to them?

    • Print the page and show it to them. Depending on how strict the salesman is, they might ring up the store or check online.

Yea. I called up and asked if they had stock. Then I went in and showed them the site on their computer. They had to talk to the manager and took a while to budge but I wasnt going anywhere, so it worked. They did try and however use 'delivery charges' and 'handling fee' excuses. nscom, com.au has shop fronts, so they really shouldnt be using 'delivery charges.' But yea it really does depend on the salesperson/manager. Just dont budge and it should work.

        • so how much does it cost you at the end?

        • 52.15-44.99= $7.16

A salesgirl was trying to push delivery charges and handling fees, but I explained that it was 'bullshit' to use that. And the manager just said to process the pricematch without other fees.

Successfully price matched at OW North Ryde NSW. Was told that they charge for delivery then I said there is a shop at Hornsby, this shop is not just online store. Good luck everyone

        • do you know if there is any more stock?

        • There are a couple on the shelf when I get there. Otherwise u can give them a call to confirm that

        • did they check the website themselves or did they just look at your phone/print out and give it to you? do you think the NR people will realise there is no more stock on the site?

    • I just took the item to the register and handed them my smartphone showing the web page once.

I think they just typed the URL into their own computer anyway, but I got the pricematch.

  • That's correct, pricematches aren't supposed to be here.
But the deal can still be published here if it's linked to the original store that sold it at the cheaper price and then pricematching is mentioned in the description.

    • Thank you for verifying that.

  • how did you get this to $7.15 from $54.89 is there a form you have to fill out to get the cashback.

  • where does it say after cash back o>O?

  • Ok, just went down to Milton store (QLD) and they are out of stock…. this differs to what they say on the website… and apparently there is only 2 left at Windsor in the surrounding stores. I hope this information saves someone an unnecessary trip.. always worth a call to see if it is in stock.

    • I took one at Windsor and another at Underwood store the other day pricematched with Greenboxit ($49.95+$6).

  • Have non-NSW people used this successfully? Wondering whether OW in WA would wear it.

    • I'm about to go into my local officeworks (in SA) and try my luck. I'll let you know results when I'm back.

      • Which store? I've got one on hold in Prospect and they have 4 left, Trinity Gardens is out of stock and Keswick has 8 (just called them).

        • I've just been to the marion store (noarlunga didn't have any) and they reluctantly price matched and sold me the last one. nscom even showed out of stock when I ws in the shop.

EDIT: they reluctantly price matched in accordance with their lowest price guarantee, meaning it cost me $52.15.

        • they sold it to you for $54.89?

    • I priced matched with greenboxit who had this for $49.99, price matched at local OW in Ballarat vic with postage costs added though as per their documented policy.

Price matched at OW Glebe, NSW. No problem at all. They checked website and said OK.
There are still a couple of them on the shelf.
    Thanks OP

  • If I bring the receipt, OW should be able to sell it to anyone?

    • I got one the other day and changed my mind for a second one. I brought the original receipt to the store and purchased another one. No question was asked after they saw the date of the receipt.

I am not sure about the scanned copy though.

  • I can't seem to find it on greenboxit, anyone have the link? nscom.com.au are out of stock of the 5000 now so I wonder if OW won't match it anymore?

    • I don't think you can tell from the nscom link that they are out of stock, so neither can OW

      • it says supplier stock:0

thought cash back ended in june?

    • Purchase any eligible Microsoft hardware product from any participating Australian retailer* between 24.5.2012 and 5.7.2012.

Got a question, is the cash back only valid if you purchase the item on RRP price, see the link below:
It is 30% cash back, so we purchased it for $52.15, 30% cash back should be $15.65
The $44.99 cash back is based on $149.95 RRP

    T&C, clause 9 https://www.microsoft.com.au/hardwarecash/terms.html

    • +2

read the massive title, it says "On the full RRP",

      • -2

It is for the calculation purpose only in T&C clause 9: "For the purposes of this Offer, a full list of eligible Microsoft Hardware products and the associated 30% cash back redemption values on the full RRP are on the SKU list below.".

Therefore still got my question, if you send a copy invoice to Microsoft but the purchase price is less RRP, how will they calculate the 30% cash back? Still give you the 30% based on RRP? Doubt it.

        • Multiple people have contacted Microsoft regarding the above argument. Read the other posts in the first link in description for further information.

        • +2

If you doubt it, then you haven't been paying attention. "30% off RRP" is a pretty basic statement.

    • +1

no, you can purchase it at any price and then the cashback is calcualted on full RRP.

Product is not found on the URL anymore. So I guess that's that.
