Sistema is regularly 40-50% off, so say it's a $10 saving, more when you pay with discounted woolies/coles gc

I want to get a bunch of the larger containers for my mates who are forever giving theirs away.
      This deal has
      4 x 1 litre
      1 x 2 litres
      1 x 3 litres

So it's 6 containers for $22. Let me shop around and see if I can beat it.

Well, I'm a bloody goose. I didn't see that. I just looked at the pictures. Thanks. I'll try to be more perceptive from now on.

Edit: Also the pic shows that it is lol

  • Was truly hoping this would be for the Home storage stuff rather than food storage …

Sadness how will I organise all my black Friday bargains now ?

    • +6

Big W have half price sistema storage organisers

      • Nice thanks !

        • +1

I have to head off for work around this time every year and have consistently seen their stuff on sale this time too so it tends to work out well for me. Normally, I'm just topping up the quantity of containers

    • +1

I store my food at home, don't you?

  • +22

that's a good price but they are even cheaper (free) from the break area at work

    • -1

enlighten me on how you can even come up with that thoughts.

      • People just leave stuff in the fridge and forget about it. My workplace had a rule that anything in there 1pm on Sunday was thrown out.

Best guess is cleaners could in theory throw out the food but keep the container. They probably wouldn't have though and just thrown it all out.

I guess a nice/ethical way of doing it would be attaching a sticker to it with a deadline saying you'll take it by X date next week unless the sticker is removed (signalling it isn't forgotten). This all assumes no name is on the container.

Once or twice a year they drag all the tupperware out of the fridge and pantries and tell everyone you have a week to collect otherwise it's gone. Allies and enemies are forged on that day.

    • +7

They even come with free food!

      • That makes sense, Cheers.

The real bargains are always in the comments

A bit like the free flowers attached to a pole or tree, at the side of the road I guess.

    • I'm pretty sure I supply all the kids at my kids' school. My kids lose so many there - someone's got 'em.

  • Cheers OP. I bought one :)

  • Cheers OP, even at 1/2price from Colesworth, these work out cheaper. Wanted to get some for xmas prezzies, but sold out online.

Here's the math with the new Klip-It Plus equivalent:

      • 2 x yogurt = $8 for 2 Pack = $8
      • 2 x 200ml = $7 for 3 Pack = $4.66
      • 2 x 380ml = $4.75 each = $9.50
      • 2 x 400ml = $3.50 each = $7
      • 4 x 1 litre = $5.75 each = $19
      • 1 x 2 litres = $8 each = $8
      • 1 x 3 litres = $9.50 each = $9.50

      Total = $65.66 (~$32.83 during 50% off)

      • You little ripper! Cheers mate, I love the numbers!

I used to like Sistema containers but since the updated the design a couple of years ago I find them to be less than satisfactory. The clip mechanisms are not great and they don't seal liquids at all. Just my 2 cents worth for anyone looking to invest in these.

    • In my experience the new design is even better, you just have to make sure you push the lid firmly down. The clips will close even if the lids aren't on properly.

    • +1

These appears to be the old design, with the clip still on the box (instead of the lid).

I agree, the new design is horrible. Thinner plastic and doesn't clip as well.

  • Thanks OP bought one with a free trial of Onepass. Free delivery :D

    • Simply what I've done. Should have added it in the description.

  • Plenty of instore stock

  • +5

They missed an opportunity here. If they counted the clips as pieces they could double the quantity, and even more with the non-sealing rings.

    • +1

+1 piece for the giant box they come in.

    • +1

Yeah I have to agree, counting the lids is kinda taking the piss. It should just say how many containers are included.

  • These are not the airtight ones are they?

    • In theory the food ones should all be. It's only the storage ones afaik that aren't. Like they're at least meant to be.

  • +1

It's really shitty of the company to call it a set of 28 and not a set of 14. Good deal though

    • +2

Yea I was counting it like 3 times and still got only 14 boxes. Until I checked Amazon and people in the review were stating the lid also counts as one piece.

      • +1

Just wait for the 100 piece:

An impressive set that includes 14 containers, 14 lids and 72 cable ties, all dishwasher safe
