  A comment says the bullet style attracts spider more than the dome one

    The spiders are setting up near the IR LEDs because the LEDs attract insects. I don't think the shape of the camera has much to do with it.

    If you mean the ones with the clear dome over the camera, you will see there are complaints about keeping the clear plastic part clean. The smaller "bullet style is probably better.

  I don't think this deserves a neg (so I won't) but I check prices on a couple of kits and items on the Reolink website very regularly. Most of the products are "on special" for a substantial claimed discount ALL THE TIME.

  This particular deal may be slightly cheaper than the normal "sale" price, but I'm pretty confident that it's never been offered for sale at $900+ as this post claims.

  Surely there's some sort of law against this kind of misleading practice.

  FYI this looks to be an 8 channel NVR.
  Question: is the vehicle detection a function of the NVR or the cameras?

    Both. I have a the old nvr with the newer cameras that supports vehicle detection but the function is not enabled.

      Thanks, how good is the interface for this NVR?
      I use an old PC with Reolink NVR soft and the software is rather flaky.
      I have the newest cameras.
      I am particularly interested in how good the seek functions are for events…
      Would appreciate your thoughts.

  not many reviews… the 3 on amazon was mixed

  a youtube vid review (also mentioned in the amazon one) mentioned a lot of 'ghosting' or w.e its called issues at night

    Interestingly, lower res cameras tend to be better for night videos, depending on how much you pay. The lower res picks up less digital noise.

      I did see this one on the Reolink site… however I would prefer a different combo than 8x units of the 811a camera.
      My ideal package would be 5x 811a and 3x 822a. Can be an option for me for a purchase today?
      …is my best option to simply add this combo to cart and check out - any chance long cables can be included to sweeten the deal ?!?
