What's the difference between that and this one https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/liqui-moly-fuel-system-c… ?

    • +2

That's designed more for the entire fueling system like the tank, fuel pump, and the combustion chamber.
This clears out the gunk from the injectors themselves, so it's a different additive to help tackle those micro bits that get stuck in the injectors.

      • So yeah I use both!
      • Can you use them both at the same time?

        • +1

Best to run them separately, but nothing would stop you to run them both.

Although the Fuel System Cleaner/Conditioner, should sit in your fuel tank for a bit longer than the injectors, as you need it to process through your injectors.

          • @Moonyang: Which one do you suggest to go with first?

            • +5

@Nathw: Start with the System Cleaner/Conditioner. - As it's an all rounder

Fuel injectors can be used in-between those cleans, but again are specific to the injectors.

      • Do you think it can be used for Diesel? I saw video, just pour in the tank like diesel. Am I right? Thanks

  • Is it good? I tried the same brand engine flush and it worked like a charm.

    • Yeah it's good, I end up cycling between the two.

  • How often do you use it? Once a year? 10k?

    • +1

5-10k is how often I use it. - Even though I use 98 in my car.

  • +1

do you feel any difference after using it or would it be more psychological?

    • I doubt you would notice any difference after using it, but think of it more as maintenance for your injectors, which can fail and aren't cheap.

      • I've used the nulon one and notice car used more fuel… Maybe the little 150ml are cleaning the injectors but causing inefficiency lol

        • I've replaced my fuel filter recently and the car used noticeably more fuel after. I was curious to see how filthy it was inside, so i poured the unfiltered side of the fuel into a container, it looked like light muddy water.

          • @F1ProjectOne: so if you didn't replace the fuel filter it would be more fuel efficient is that what you are saying?

Also what stage did you put the injector cleaner in?

            • @Poor Ass: Yeah, that's what I meant. I used the cleaner about 6 months before replacing the fuel filter.

              • +1

@F1ProjectOne: I reckon the injector cleaner did such a good job the gunk got stuck in the injector and making it not fuel efficient

  • Could I use this in a motorbike?

    • Yes you can. Use it in whatever ratio per litre it says on the tin.

A funny thing happened a few years ago when a mate stuck some (different brand) injection cleaner in his 916. After quite a few minutes petrol started appearing on the floor - his fuel tank has rusted and it turned out that the paint was holding the fuel in and the cleaner had eaten away at the paint…..
