Ray-Ban Wayfarer - Help Identify Model

Hi all, about 12 years ago I finally found a pair of Wayfarers I liked. Anyway, I (Child) have lost them. I enquired a few years ago about getting a second pair and the shop said they no longer make them, I think they were fobbing me off.

Anyway, I don't have a model number, but I can somewhat describe them. They were a Wayfarer, Black, Chunky as in very solid/heavy and the lenses were angled back. They were a largish frame as well.

Any ideas?

PS: I contacted Sunglass Hut and they couldn't help as about 4 years after I got them, the arm broke and I purchased another pair at 1/2 price under a warranty type thing they had at the time.

    Sounds like the "Original Wayfarer Classic". Larger thickish frames with the pantoscopic tilt

    The rb2140 looks like them, but I'm positive they did not have the silver accents on the frame.

      Are you sure they weren't knockoffs? I've never seen Ray Ban Wayfarers without the metal accents. Its like a feature of Wayfarers to have them…

        they were from Sunglass Hut and the second pair was from Ray Ban themselves.

          Could it be that they weren't actually Wayfarers but a Wayfarer style like the RB4165 or RB4181?

    RB2151 Wayfarer Square is the model/number.
    Apparently no longer in production
