  • I remember lg had an Android phone with the same name G2. Guess now that they're out of the phones game they think they can reuse the names

  • Does this come with a stand?

    • No stand on 2022 G series.

    • No stand and it's an extra $175 for the actual LG stand. Or you could find a cheaper after market vesa mount stand I guess.

      • The G1 my mate bought did come with a stand after reading everywhere that it didn't. Seems a bit confusing

    • If you dont want to wall mount, get the C2 and save some dollars…..

      • +1

Isn't this cheaper than the C2 at this point

        • Is it? Well, damn - then that's a no brainer - even if have to pay for stand!!

      • Nah G2 is superior in many ways, get this

        • Just a bit brighter? Other than obvious design difference…. anything else?

          • +1

@gazer: The design is impressively flat on the back, and much more rigid at the top of the panel with metal backed plate across the entire back of the screen screen.

            Reduced glare.

20% higher peak brightness (G2 has panel heatsink, C2 no panel heatsink)

I mean the list goes on.

I have a C1 and it's a great TV, but I was holding out for a G1 for ages until I just gave up because it was hovering around the $4k plus mark for like 5 months and the C1 was $2.8k

I wouldn't pay $1k more for the G2, but for a few hundred dollars it's a no brainer.

            • @Budju: Yeh I've got the 65 GX, so I do like/prefer the flat back etc design too. Didnt think the list on the G2 went on further than design, heatsink+brightness….
anyway, they're pretty much just all super damn awesome TVs, really!

              • +1

@gazer: It looks like the C2 is closer to the G2 than the C1 was to the G1, now that C2 has the evo panel.

  • This is an incredible price even before the $320 gift card. Gotta be near an EOL runout price

Does the 55 give the gift card?

    • Looks like it “Bonus 10% in Gift Cards when you spend $250 or more”

  • +2

upvoted, but love to see a great 77" deal!

    • Agree a 77" deal would be ideal.

  • Very good deal.

I got JB Hi-Fi to price match/beat this via the online chat. Ending up getting it for $2950.

    • Nice score! I price matched the videopro deal earlier this week, my fomo burnt me this time!

    • Any chance you could share the receipt, mate?

Hi all, just got TGG to price match at our local store over the phone for $2956.50 with free delivery tomorrow. Paid via phone link. The manager has to put a code in to get free delivery. Very happy not to worry about gift cards and didn't even have to leave the house. All done in 5 minutes. Cheers.

    • Nice, they wouldn't do the same on the 55 unfortunately.

I tried with the JB chat..they said can't do it. They said it was likely a staff member that didn't know what they're doing that gave Brandroid his price.

Anyway it ended up being a blessing in disguise. I followed Ladybird21's advice and good guys were more than happy to do $2995 with delivery included. They sent me a link to pay, which allows you pay with gift cards. So I bought a $2999 gift card for the good guys using the shop back app, which gives you a 3% cash back. So total I paid is $2909 after cash back.

Also was told they wouldn't do it, best they could do was $3090. But TGG doing for $5 more than you, $3k even including delivery.

Now to organise return of the TV from JB that hasn't been delivered yet. Worth the hassle for the $ savings here!

    • Yep I've found TGG a bit better than JB on giving the best price! Probs just depends on staff you get, though….

    • Hi so you have an invoice you are happy to share, so that I can get the same offer from TGG, thanks.

    • How did you get onto the TGG live chat?

I was asked not to say which store but letting you all know I managed to get GG to do me $2955 delivered.

Achieved by mentioning the HN price and gift card offer, and mentioning how ppl on here have been negotiating around 3k. It took some convincing but we got to $2955. Good luck!!

Seriously though what a deal on the top of the line LG OLED. I was hoping possibly for a C2 65 around 3k, but to get a G2 under 3k is amazing. Very happy.

Could you share your receipts, please?

    • Could you please share your receipt, please? Thanks mate

I got it from Harvey Norman for $2955 delivered, thanks.

Could you share your receipts, please?

      • Did anyone give you a receipt? No one replying…

        • Hi, happy to share mine, please DM me your email, I got eReceipt, thanks.

      • Sure, can you please DM me your email, I got my receipt in my email.

  • Hi all…
Long time OzBargain visitor, first time commenter.

I also got TGG to price match in-store & got it for $2,962. It was relatively easy. Dude just did some weird rounding rather than calling a manager so it worked out to be $5.50 for delivery tomorrow, which I was more than happy to let slide.

So stoked! Thanks heaps & good luck!

    • Could you please upload a receipt if you can? Thanks

  • Partner tried today at TGG to get the full price match but the guy said he couldn't do it. Think it ended up being around $3290 with delivery. If anyone could upload a TGG receipt with the lowest amount maybe we could get a price match refund.

  • Just asked in store at TGG but they can only do $3258 inc shipping

  • Thank you tfb for the heads up on deal. Had been looking at this tv for a long time, since the G1, held out for G2.
Managed to get JB to do the price for $3,256 and match the HN deal giving 10% of amount $325 as a gift voucher (which is like cash to me, buy plenty from JB), free delivery included, then managed to get $2k worth of gift cards from Coles @ 15% off, saving an additional $300, with a bit more time would have done an extra $1k of gift cards, but was happy overall. Essentially paid $2,631 for the tv in the end. Never expected to get a G2 that low. Can’t believe it was essentially possible to get the tv for $2,445 with bit of work. Now fingers firmly crossed for an undamaged unit. Looking forward to setting it up and testing it out.
