      I've had two price matched transactions from July approved and paid out by Cashrewards with another three since then tracked and pending.

      There's definitely mixed reports. I've seen multiple users on past deals say price matched items tracked, and just as many that haven't received tracking like I did. Out of all the stores, Sony has got to be one of the most unreliable for receiving cash back.

      TRS has nothing to do with cashrewards or cashback?

      You'll get back GST on items > AUD$300 and purchased within 60 days of departure.

        as in.. leave with a $1000+ camera and return with it. I know they're more strict about having people pay back the tax now whereas before anything hovering around that $1000 they didn't bother

    The cashback and amex combo works nicely for the Sony 1000XM5 headphones. They are listed for 498 but can add cheap $9 earphones to take you to 500+. 100$ back on Amex and 12% cashback. Comes to approx $354 (if my calculation is right).

        Nop. That’s a $70 cashback.

        Last year they declined a $120 from Booking.com. So, I shouldn’t rely on this company. If it is tracked, it is a plus.

    I have been looking at getting the A95K and was considering getting it now from Sony since it's on sale now for $4995, 12% cashback brings it around to 4.4k.
    Haven't seen it any cheaper anywhere else but also haven't looked hard so far.
    I don't have an AMEX but was considering getting a Coles rewards Credit card just to take advantage of the 12m interest free period for this TV specifically.
    I should really get an AMEX haha.

    ‘Seems Sony store online has reduced the prices on quite a few items for BF/Cyber weekend. E.g. Link Buds $149, WH-1000XM5 $498, TVs, cameras and lenses which would save you time having to wait for price match (take 2-5 days from my experience), so you won’t miss out on the 12% CR cash back…

      From what I've seen of Cashrewards and Sony, if you don't get the email within the first hour it probably isn't coming at all and you'll need to raise a manual claim.

        Cashback may take up to 7 days to track according to CR. I'm guessing if you claim within that, they'll tell you to wait? My confirmation email from Sony about my purchase just sates that they're reviewing/processing my order, once that goes through is when I'd expect an email from CR otherwise manual claim it is!

          I made an order last night at 10pm and only received the reviewing/processing order email - still nothing today from Sony/CR - haven't had to submit a manual claim for CR in a very long time. I only ordered through Sony for the free shipping plus cashback offer - probably would of reconsidered if I knew the order process was clunky.

            It's the only reason why I went with a purchase on the Sony website as well. As I'm typing this I got another confirmation email from Sony, so hopefully the CR email isn't too far behind.. lol

            Curious if anyone reading this has purchased a tv from the Sony website before, with delivery do they just bring it inside and leave it boxed? The TV is for my elderly parents just wondering whether I’ll have to go there to set it all up. Will film the entire thing in case there’s any damage

          I've never had Cashrewards send me a tracking email for a Sony transaction after the first few hours let alone a few days. They won't let you raise it as the button will be greyed out. Doesn't really matter if you raise it now vs a week later because the cashback will take months to process anyway.

          If you ordered an OLED, make sure you check if there's a slight curve. From what I've read, it's common, and my parents TV was delivered yesterday with a slight curve but it's barely noticeable. Not sure if it's worth contacting Sony about it to have it replaced (..only to get one worse)

    Just an update:

    Ordered the Sony A80J 55", cashback was not automatic as I raised a manual claim after 7 days as it was in my click history, provided the order confirmation email from sony & now the cash back has been approved at 12%.

      How long did it take after you submitted the claim? I submitted mine over the weekend and haven't heard anything. Click history still gives me the option to submit a claim, do you recall if yours changed to something when you submitted it? I did get a confirmation email but thought the status changes on CR from previous experience

      I usually get my orders from them the next business day after it arrives in the DHL depot (Sydney). Think you might have to contact DHL to check on the package.
