  • Price?

  • Thanks OP - I grabbed the 6303 bundle as I wanted the remote version.

Looking forward to less complaints about taking a dump in the ensuite.

    • Also grabbed the 6303 bundle because of the remote version

      • Which 1 is this? Do you get the purifier as well?

  • Is the ones with the stand worth it?

  • 533DC is price matched on amazon also

  • Good deal on da 633 bundle, paid 170 alone for the 633dc and seriously blew me and my expectations away lol

If you don't need the purifier, 633 DC is much cheaper at thegoodguyscommercial $170

I don’t have access to TGGC. Is there a way to access it to purchase the 633DC?

  • Has anyone got one of the Vornado fans with the remote? I'm wondering if it is RF and can be connected to a wifi -> RF smart hub, or if it is an IR line of sight style one.

    Edit: Manual implies IR:

The remote requires a line-of-sight path to allow for the signal to be received by the circulator. Point the remote control at the display panel for best reception.

  • Hmm, I'm looking for a ground level fan for use when exercising - chiefly a rowing machine, sometimes a bike - to blow air directly at me. So it's between the 533DC and 633DC, thoughts on the $30 difference?

P.S. Looking at the air purifier running costs, it looks like if you run it 24/7, it's an annual HEPA filter replacement and a semi-annual carbon filter replacement, for running costs of about $106 a year (normal price for the filters on their website), doesn't seem great. But then I've been hanging around for a Philips purifier with a 3-yearly filter replacement schedule.

If you arent opposed to buying on marketplace, vornados regularly pop up. I picked up the 533 (for $50 on mp) for riding on zwift, and have the 660 (for $100) in the loungeroom.

Didnt need a remote for the 533 as it has a manual dial, just use a kasa smart plug to control 👍

      • Yeah, definitely no need for a remote, but the lower noise of the DC models appeals to me since I tend to have music playing through a so-so Bluetooth speaker when I exercise.

I do see the discussion further up about the $170 633DC, which to me is borderline on whether I'd get much use out of the air purifier. Already have a small one for the bedroom, and would need a much larger one (Philips 3000i is the dream) for the living room. I suppose I can throw the Vornado one in my home office should I get it.

    ordered 633DC instead.
I was thinking to get it for $170 from TGGCommercial
    so, the AC350 only $89.
I have missed Xiaomi air purifier, so hope this AC350 is better.

    • Yeah, think I'll do the same and take the chance that it's at least decent, or at least better than the ones built into Dyson fans (a low bar admittedly).

Hopefully it's also better than that heater that Vornado has been bundling with their fans seemingly all year, and which seems to get universally panned. Struggling to give them away.

      • Hi there if you have got the air Purifier yet? Mine seems to release some kind of unpleasant ordour. Similar like those ordour of poor quality plastic product.

        • No, got the shipping notification but it won't be here until next week.

        • Got it yesterday, and yeah, it's got that fairly strong plastic smell when operating. I'm just continuously running it in the spare room until it goes away, it's been around 15 hours now.

Definitely feels like a product built down to a price so I'm not too surprised, I'm sure there are no long term issues and as a backup device for effectively under $100 it's probably just about acceptable. I'm fortunate enough to have better products for the living room and main bedroom either already here or on the way, so it's definitely just a backup device.

  • Still waiting for it to arrive in Sydney since 29th November from WA last Aus Post notification.
Could really test out the fan since Sydney is getting hot summer days now.

  • Anyone in Sydney received their order yet?
My Aus Post update hasn't changed yet.

    • Mine was last scanned in Welshpool WA on the 28th November and nothing since. :-(

  • I actually received my item on 13th December.
Received the Aus Post notification the day before on the 12tb December.

I have mine connected to an Arlec Grid Connet smart plug so can use app or google to power on or off.

Fantastic unit very powerful but noisy if too close by. I put it far away to recirculate air or aim it directly at me.

    Hires78 where are you located?

    • I just finally received yesterday, ordered on the 26/11

The item has been stuck in WA for 3 weeks in Australia post
