Nice find OP. I opt for the Aldi equivalent when making burnt basque cheesecakes but definitely going to get some tomorrow. Gonna be sick of burnt basque this Xmas

  • Or for cheesecakes as we are supposed to be going into summer.

  • Anyone pressure cooker owners who haven't made a "baked" cheesecake… you really, REALLY, should do yourself a favour. It comes out similar to the fresh (by fresh I mean not frozen) ones in a plastic box at Coles, but obviously better. It's like a baked one without baking/an oven.

I forget the cooking time now, so just lookup any recipe online for a pressure cooker cheesecake, and use that cooking time with any cheesecake recipe. (And no, it doesn't come out with a puddle of water on top because the steam remains suspended.) Just don't leave it in there for a long time after the heat is turned off. Then it might come out wet from drops of water from the lid.

  • Thank god. Now I can make San Sebastian cheesecake and stop my family from bothering me.
