Apple MacBook Pro 13", M1 16GB/1TB Space Grey $2197 + Delivery ($0 to Metro Areas) @ Officeworks

161

Seems like the 2020 model being cleared. I understand you could go the 14inch for another $350 but this size can fit in my travel pack.

Great review here of this model with 16gb/1tb

The apple refurb model is $2459

13" and 14" chassis sizes are about the same though

Yeah i understand but it is slightly bigger (and more expensive) and about 0.3' too big for what i need.

      • You are too picky.

          Haha it's my backpacks fault.

  • This is also the 2020 model, so it's the M1 Chip. No M1 Pro/Max.

Tbh, you could use this as a small stepup from a Macbook air? the M2 Air vs this, This might be better for the ram/hdd

  • 14” pro with 512GB/16GB was under $2,200 combining gift cards and cash back during last sale..

lowest i saw was $2537 with officeworks, how are you getting $2200? i'm very interested!

      • +1

It could have had for under $2200 during the black friday sale..
14” Pro price match with officeworks $2537, pay with 15% TCN gift card at JB: $2123
If you’re not in a rush.. I’d suggest waiting until boxing day.. there might be similar sale..

        • thanks. you guys are mad :) haha

I see some comments that we can claim TRS $250 incase they travelling. but i think if the bring back the device, they have to declare and pay gst back, not sure.

    • Also interested. Lowest price I saw was the current $2537 with OW.

  • The M2 Air looks good, but 8GB is limiting.

Otherwise the cpu beats even the latest gen 6800 AMD.

I would get the 14", bigger better screen, speakers, brighter, pro motion, 16gb base, more ports. blazing fast.
Tried a MBA 2 I got off GT, on sold it for those reasons.

Such a tough one. The 14 Pro / M1 is probably worth the extra $300/400. If this was $2k flat, it's probably worth it.

    • For the extra 350 for the 14inch, it is 512GB storage tho (vs 1TB on this 13inch). May or may not be important to you :)

  • The next best option was base model M1 macbook air for $1250/70 from OW

  • Apple is really annoying with pricing at the moment, they basically force you into base model air M1 for $1270 on sale, or pro M1 on sale -> everything else is poor value IMO

  • Too bad it has that horrible keyboard! I am sure the guys from Apple haven't used that keyboard otherwise they wouldn't have launched such horrendous that is touchbar.
