  • Good price for an original battery :-)

I've personally been waiting for a deal on the Nitecore UFZ100 which is a 3rd party battery but offers USB-C charging directly on the battery which is rather nice ;-)

    • why not just get a type-c dual charger like this?

      • +1

I like the idea I can check the status/charge of each battery directly (Eg, not needing to put it in the camera) and also not having to carry around a charger.

There is USB-C at just about any location now days even in cars..etc Just less to carry and worry about a charger… more of a 'nice to have' than a need really.

Having said all that, I've never used this battery before and no idea how they perform, I've used Nitecore torches and was very happy so will probably give one of these batteries a go once they are on sale…

      • Thats is actually awesome.

Noone likes having to carry a charger lets be real.

        • I mean you can charge the battery directly in most(all?) of the cameras that use this battery?

And with how good these batteries are if you have one fully charged one you're probably good for the day unless you're doing an all day wedding shoot (or equivalent).

          • @dust: Yeh you can charge through the camera. But it is slow and not always convientant.

Being able to charge the battery with any USB C cable off a laptop, PC, power bank, etc etc is very useful.

@Justin Powell: I bought for one of the Nitecore batteries for $90 at a camera shop in Ashfield for a trip to NZ. It works well.

    • Nice, let us know if they do come on special :)

  • For Sony a7c as well

  • Remember watching a video on comparison original Sony batts to the compatible. Some were on par and some were even better.
For the price one may buy a number of compatible ones.
My original Sony died quicker than the 2 cheapies, that are still alive.
But if you are looking for a genuine Sony - maybe its an ok price =)

    • which third party batts did you get? I'm thinking to get a mix.

      • I just got a Neewer 2 pack with a charger.
On special at Amazon at the moment

        • I just ordered that too

  • Grabbed two
