For those that missed this deal - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/739328 (OOS) - while this is about $30 more expensive, it's still a fairly cheap alternative if you still wanted to pick up this printer without having to wait for officeworks to get the printer back in stock. More than 10 available.
As discussed in other posts for this printer, it's a great printer with useful features that is reported to be very reliable.
The Officeworks deal (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/739328) is available for delivery in Vic at present ($224.00 delivered) - not sure about other states.

Also just picked one up from Brisbane (Milton) store.
I like Brother printers because they can be reset easily. Using refill ink is so cheap.
I heard that they have a new firmware that limits the use of 3rd party cartridges. I wonder if this FW changes the way resetting work on Brother printers.
Bought from Office works last week and used a cheap $20 high volume toner cartridge (instead of the starter one).
Works perfectly out of the box.
I'll make sure to block the firmware updates.

IRCC the 3770 model is better with duplex scanning. You can try ebay with the current 22% off
