      I had to figure that the other day.. I installed the app on my phone then it sent me to the page to install it on the watch. I then went to home page on the watch and held my finger on the watch and from there I could choose what watch face I wanted that was downloaded

      Phone app serves only as a placeholder to make it easier to install & find the watch face on your Wear OS watch. You have to select your watch device from the install dropdown menu.

      I would think so. It's basically a "free" purchase from Google Play store. So you should be able to purchase it for free on your Google account, and it should stay in the Purchased area on Google play.

      I think you need to have it installed on your smartwatch but not on your phone.

        Thanks, I just did mine; although when I tried to add extra info, such as weather, etc; it requested for additional permission; I suspect it is fine? how can we make sure they are not tracking our movement and send the info back to their server somewhere overseas?

          Take a look at the app's permissions. It doesn't have any network permissions to send data.
