Get a gift card if you're not planning to get something now or spend $100 in one transaction.

  • nice! Been looking at some knives, and they're the cheapest I can find on this site anyway.
    Thanks OP

registered but not sure what I can get as most of their stuff are so overpriced.

Really? Most of the things I find are fairly cheap for Australia. Do you mean overpriced or expensive- there's a big difference.

The victorinox luggage and Wusthof knives have a much smaller markup than most other stores.

If it's not a bargain it's overpriced lol

On a more serious note, this is a very good umbrella, I've got one, and the price is reasonable. I paid about the same for it a couple of years ago at DJ when it was on sale. It's still going strong, unlike most of its peers in the $10-20 mark which will simply fall apart after 10 uses.

So to be clear, it sounds like the $25 is just another gift voucher that you have to use at PoK? Plus it has restrictions so it can't be combined with any other offer (i.e. have to buy something full priced)?

    • "All you need to do now is spend $100 in a single transaction on your Registered Card at Peter’s of Kensington and you will get a $25 statement credit." Doesn't have any restrictions.

    • no, it's an amex statement credit not pok store voucher, and as along as you spend $100+ in one transaction in-store or online, it doesn't matter if the items are full-price or discounted in any way - most stuff at pok aren't full-price btw :)

edit: thanks bob19 - was going to repeat that point as you did but thought zzyss might need to be answered more directly to better understand :)

  • Can anyone confirm that I can buy PoK giftcard online and spend the $100 later in the year when their products are on sale?

    • afaik amex won't know what you've bought so gift cards should be fine

    • Past deals have stated that vouchers are explicitly excluded, but people have still gotten the cashback, so make of that what you will.

      • true:

        D. Additional Offer Terms

Merchant Offer cannot be combined with other promotions or offers: Merchant Offer not valid on vouchers, voucher certificates, or prior purchases.

    • Delivery charge is $5 so that effectively lowers the $25 credit benefit to $20. Would probably cost similar in petrol to get there to buy the card but if you actually do make a purchase while you're there then that negates the travel cost.

      • actually it doesn't as delivery is part of a transaction so you can spend $95 on goods with $5 shipping and still qualify for $25 credit
