Panasonic has a line of NiMH chargers, some are fast and smart, others dumb. This one here is a very slow and very dumb charger.

This is a charger designed to sell more eneloops, by slowly destroying the ones you have. It's meant for people who don't know that smart chargers exist.

The batteries are able, but not with this charger.
If you're buying this just for the batteries, and throw the charger away, it's a reasonable price for the batteries. Works out to $4.42 per battery.
I actually hadn't considered the per battery price, good point!
Decent deal - cheaper in store. Noticed them the other day, perhaps $47.99 but can't be certain but something like that - Marsden Park
Otherwise, Ikea Ladda are good alternatives.
