    Is this the official position of the card issuer now? Their site has only few participating restaurants.

      I’m confused as well, because the terms and conditions of the digital gift card says:

      1. The Card can be used to purchase food and beverages at participating Restaurant locations which excludes cash and cash equivalent transactions at ATM's over the counter at Financial Institutions and merchants and merchant groups who elect not to accept prepaid gift cards). Cards cannot be used at any restaurant not listed as an accepting restaurant at www.restaurantchoice.com.au. For a full and updated list of participating restaurants please visit our website www.restaurantchoice.com.au

          It's a brand new thing! The team are busily updating the info on the website (taking a tad longer than expected but we didn't want to delay our 10% off offer!)

          I can 100% assure you the Restaurant Choice eGift card can definitely be used at any restaurant Visa is accepted at. The physical card, is however still restricted to participating restaurants.

          Just as an FYI - Giftz is part of Blackhawk network and so is the Restaurant Choice card.

    Even on the giftz.com website, it doesn't state that it can be used at any restaurants
    So there no room to dispute this in the future if they decide to block it at other restaurants.

    I can double confirm that the Restaurant Choice gift card is accepted by any restaurant (including fast food joints like Subway). Tested just moments ago…

    If you are afraid they will change the terms on you, just buy some gift cards at your favourite chains (I went with topping up my Subcard and getting some Soul Origin gift cards).

    The digital gift card can be added to your digital wallet: you just have to manually add it as they don't have a working "add to wallet" function yet.

      Do you mean adding this e-gift card via Google Pay or Apple Pay?
      After adding this card in my e-wallet, I can visit the store (for example Nando Chicken) and place my order in the counter?

    I had a really bad time with this card, you could only use it at certain restaurants and we found the only one near our house (Indian Brothers)
    Picked up our takeaway and then the card didn't work.

    Not impressed at all and would not advise

      Hi Jessie, was that the physical card? The digital one should be accepted at any restaurant that takes Visa. The physical cards are restricted to participating restaurants.

      It sounds like a huge difference between physical and e cards. Physical cards have a crappy range of selections: you basically can avoid all restaurants in their list unless you hold the card.

    I always use TCN The Restaurant Gift Card which can be used in any cafe/restarant/take away.
    I do not see any promotion regarding this card..
    Do you know any card in the market similar to this?
    I am afraid this Restaurant Choice e-gift card cannot replace the TCN The Restaurant card.

      This card can be used in any cafe/restarant/take away that accepts Visa, which on our last count was over 50,000 outlets so you should have no dramas using it :)

        Hey mate, during the Black Friday 20% discount offer, I bought 3 digital cards. I could add the first into my Apple wallet and could use it swiftly.. However, I am not able to add other cards into my apple wallet though all of them are linked into my myprepaidcentre.com.au account. But surprisingly I could add it into my wife’s Apple wallet. A case is already lodged since Wednesday and there is no resolution. I called the customer support and they were clueless and asked me to wait a few days for any update on the case.

            The Restaurant Choice website needs an update? Banjo Patterson has closed for 9 months, but it is still listed on your website as a restaurant that can use the card.

    I'm trying to add the eGift Card to Google Wallet - it's not accepting it as a Payment Card (Card type not accepted), and there are no matching Gift card vendors. Any ideas?
