    Normal price

Under $18 would be more of a deal

    • +1

This is for 12pk, not 6 pk.
Go check out prices of 6 pks these days
      They are around $18 now
      https://www.firstchoiceliquor.com.au/beer/tiger-lager-bottle…
But $48 for a case of 24 which is always much cheaper

      • -3

It’s a cheap beer and you are obviously not aware of the discounts Aldi has offered in the past for 6 and 12 packs… clearly not an ozbargainer because there is nothing special about this price at all!

  • I wish my aldi sold something decent to drink.

    • +2

Leo and At Etienne are pretty good.
They also have different brands as special buys.
      Recently had Paulaner.

    • Really bad range at my local in qld

      • I live in the nanny state too.

    • Beer LEO! Must be ultra cold. Be like a Thai and dump some ice in it.

  • If you buy 24 it's cheaper elsewhere.

  • -2

$48 at Dans for a slab.

    • I get the logic but it's person-who-has-$48's logic and your neg is just ostentatious and invalid.

      • +1

        Correct on both counts.

      • But Dan cab sell alcohol in places like Queensland, Aldi can't.

But see my comment below, its ~$42 at LL.
There's more LL's then Aldi & Dan put together!

$24.99 is a super buy if you are only after 12 my friend
      They are selling for $18 / 6pk
Suggest you remove your negative vote because itrs totally unjustified

      $48??? Hand in your badge

      Liquorland $51 - $5.10 using code TEN, 10% CR (~$4)

      So its around $42

Leo is $20.99 at Aldi and a better beer!

    • The tale of 2 different taste buds.

Leo is in my books one of the worst beers I've had the unfortunate pleasure to have drunk.

      • -1

The Leo beer at Aldi is unfortunately nothing like the Leo beer in Thailand :(

        • +2

Actually I was talking about Leo in Thailand. Never tried the Leo beer from Aldi, but I would have thought it's the same (import) ???

On the other hand, Tiger is basically in line other mainstream beers here & at around $40 ish, I would buy it.

        • I didn't know that. Only drink beer when overseas on holiday. Enjoyed the Leo in Thailand, seemed to go really well with their cuisine. Preferred it to Singha and Chang. Beer Lao was better than them all though IMO.

          • @Charlie Dont Surf: Agree with you on Beer Lao (from Laos) not to be confused with Leo Beer. Very good beer.

        • -1

          It's exactly the same beer.

        • -1

          It's exactly the same.

    • +1

It was good for $14.99 a 12 pack but wouldn’t pay $20 for it

    • Yeah Leo and St Etienne are good beers from Aldi.

  • -1

Cheaper for a 24 pack at Dans

    • Cheaper at Liquorland

    • 24 for $25? Link

  • +1

St Etienne for $35 a slab is great drinking.

    • +2

The original St Etienne dude would be canonised again by the Pope, or receive an Order of Australia for his civic duty for drinking an Aldi brand beer. I like trying the Aldi wines as some are very good, but their beers are something awful in my personal opinion. If you want a decent beer buy Coopers pale ale which some of their stores sell in a 12 pack.

      • $28.99 for Coopers now in my local store. Hard pass for me at that price.

  • Slap

NOT product of Singapore, the Aldi one is made under license in New Zealand - DM has the imported one from Malaysia/Singapore

    • They are falsely claiming product of Singapore on their website then

      • +1

Another day of Australian customer treatment.

The last Asahi deal on ebay had country of origin: Japan, which might be true of there a was Japan, Victoria town.

        • +1

I suppose you could argue it did originate in Japan but when it actually says product of and it's incorrect that is misleading.

          • +2

@Spendmore: I think any consumer law should be arguing for the consumer, not against them.

Otherwise it would be "The best beer ever" slogans and in the court the manufacturers would be like "oh, we meant in Wooloomooloo".

My Asahai ("country of origin: Japan") box arrived. Origin of the box: Australia.

        • +1

According to Dan Murphy's web site Asahi 5% is made in Australia. Asahi 3.5% is made in Japan.

      • This style of box is always a good indicator that it's from Aldi's NZ brewer and sure enough I checked my local store today and it's NZ brewed. So definitely not a product of Singapore.

  • drink water, save beer😜

  • It's NZ brewed, so not really worth the $25 price tag.

    • Thank god I saw this and didn't waste my money.

    • Value is subjective.

If it's brewed over the dtch then Aldi is misleading customers. Wouldn't be the first time, as I recently discovered about some of their awards claims.

      • If it's brewed by their normal NZ contract brewer then it should be priced in line with their other NZ brewed beers.

        • Recognised brand name attracts a premium.

$2 a bottle is fine for a 12 pack. Can't be much worse than Asahi SD Japan/China/Australia which is an insipid-though-refreshing-on-hot-days beer imo.
