    Love my 3k GorillaPod that I got 5 years ago. Absolutely rock solid and miles ahead from generic alternatives in terms of quality and performance.

            @apey2000: 3K will handle a DSLR and while it is an overkill for just a phone, if you think you’ll ever need to put anything other than a phone then go for a 3k, otherwise get the phone only one.

                @ramona: I’m using this generic phone adaptor from Amazon and it works perfectly for me because of easy rotating clamp.

              @3252900sl: Yeah hence the comment re price matching at JB. And if you looked at 3 camels, it was $49.50 last month on Amazon.

              So probably not that much of a deal for the 3k version.

    i've had the action tripod with quick release to mount an old rear dashcam to my car's rollbar for a few years now. holds its grip and position unlike poor imitations that give up when the weather starts getting hot.
