  • Not a bargain for 1st gen. 2nd gen with Skylake is at and below this price very often.

    • Sorry it is 4th Gen
      Just added

      • It's the first gen for ProDesk and EliteDesk.

abysmal deal compared to the optiplexes you see on here. for example, just earlier today you could grab this for a little bit more but at least it includes delivery as well! it's also significantly faster, obviously, and it comes with a greater amount of ssd storage.

  • These can be picked up for like $80 at the government auctions.

    • How does one access the government auctions?

What a joke. For 10/20 dollars more you can pick up a much better 6th or 7th Gen i5 deal.

  • 2014 called. It's still laughing now that anyone would buy this.

  • Tough crowd!
Dunno why negged so much…. these aren't for gaming. Basic school level and general use would be fine. I think a lot of people compare the specs to gaming rigs from back then, judging spec/performance for super-mega loads of stress on a rig. Lighten up folks and realise what these are for/aimed at.
When will enough horse power be enough? Never!

    • Probably Windows users. This is dead to them after 2025.

Linux users? We just reinstall and keep going. :)

For the same price i've recently seen several optiplexes of 6th and 7th gen i5s. Pretty sure one of them recently had wifi too (and postage included). This just isn't a good deal, it should be around $100 for these specs to be considered a bargain.
3 years ago this would have been a bargain, but now the 6th/7th gen i5 business machines are seeing price drops because everyone wants 8th gen, and 8th gen supply is starting to become business e-waste, fulfilling that demand.
Keep in mind 6th & 7th gen Intel CPUs are now 6-7 years old. Older CPUs won't be as efficient even for watching youtube etc.
