Auspost pretty aggressive right now. This and the nbn deal!

Edit - anyone aware if there is a timeline on activation? Can't see it, really just want to hold it for 2 months time..

Edit edit - ignore found it
FYI "Initial renewal with activation must occur between 26 September 2022 and 9 January 2023. "

What does this even mean though, the 25% seems to be the discount to the loading of the card initially, but wouldn’t you already have paid the price with a 25% discount when checking out? What happens after the specified date then, do you have to pay the remainder 25% to activate the phone?

No international calls no deal .

" Coverage issues? Get your money back "
That is a peace of mind.

Coles Mobile is Optus and cheaper, if 60GB is enough. 15 other countries included. Any other differences?

    • Was going to say, bought this today $99. If you activated this during Black Friday week, it gave 60 bonus GB data for a total of 120GB. Still good value now.

    • Anyone know if Coles is still doing 20%-off recharges? (It still applied 17 days after the last promotion ended)

      • Yep.

        • No luck today. Self-serve checkout charging full price.

    • Damn, I just bought a Kogan Mobile plan yesterday which has more data but without the international calls automatically added. Had I seen this post yesterday I would 100% have gone with Coles as I need to be able to call overseas sometimes…

Aldi still has a 365 day plan for $5.

    • Technically true. But I only upvoted to undo the downmod :-)

  • Interesting. The 140GB, 12 month plan on Boost can be found for around $170. So if you don't use much data, currently it works out to roughly $50-60/yr extra to access the Telstra network. Easily worth it in most areas, IMO.

Telstra is far worse in my area. Can't use it inside many buildings. Optus never an issue.

      • Same, I remember/noticed Telstra being far superior a few years ago, but have been switching between Kogan, Catch for the last few years. Went back to Boost in Dec and found reception to be terrible now :( once my 1yr plan finishes, I'll be going back to cheaper but better coverage options for me.

    Just in time

  • Does anyone with a spacetalk watch (for the kids) know how much data is used generally?

The suggestion of the Aldi's PAYG seems much cheaper than $100~ a year if it doesn't use much at all.

  • thanks OP….ended up going with this over the coles/amaysim deals
…for $13 more happy to have the 100gb to play with over 60gb

Why not the Woolworth's mobile deal? Its 100gb too, but gives 10% off a woolies shop each month. So spend $150 a month just once and get $15 discount.
      Sim card paid for!

      • +1

$40 bucks cheaper with aus post & we struggle to spend even $40-50 at woolies these days (poor produce & crappy range) so the discounts wouldnt make much difference…plus woolworths really dont need anymore of our dollars, so that too

        • No worries! 👍

  • For $6.50 more get extra 20 GB and overseas calls at Coles at the mo.

    • But no discounted groceries at Woolies. If you normally shop there, I just don't think that deal can be beat. As long as you are ok with only the 4g access that the Woolies Mobile deal has, and a bit less data.
