  • the lack of apps and video format support is the bad points otherwise totally agree, great unit.

good thing is finally there is a upnp app for the playbook.

    Inb4 Nexus pwns Blackberry etc.

    Nexus 7 pawns this!

Seriously though, if you can stretch the extra $75 for a N7 then its money well spent as it is superior hardware, software and isn't a dying platform.

  • +4

Waiting for someone to bring up the N7-doesn't-have-a-card-slot argument

    • +6

      The N7 doesn't have a card slot!

  • BB10 has been delayed until 2013 if you are an optimist. If you ranges from normal to pessimist, then BB10 is delayed for ever. Not a good time to jump onto a sinking ship, especially when there are much better options around.

Already ordered a Nexus 7 from the Google Play Store
Otherwise, this would be a good deal if it was $75-100 less

  • I think its selling for $219 in costco….

    • +1

I bought one from Canberra Costco in May for $199.97 and it came bundled with a leather folio case and I bought another one from Costco Sydney last month for the same price and it came bundled with a silicon sleeve and a rapid charger.

  • Can you email on these things yet? It was one of the major issues when they first came out.

    • i believe it wasnt a major issue.. it was more to do with having a blackberry account or not.. this meant that you had to pay monthly (like a blackberry phone) in order to recieve e-mails.. it did not have a stand alone e-mail client..

this so called "problem" was fixed in version 2 and now works without having a blackberry account

      • 'problem'? more like a business ploy to extract more from the customer! seriously, if they didn't have this steady stream of regular income for this many years they would have gone bankrupt years ago, or sold off the consumer hardware division and gone into some other area like servers or software, kind of like IBM

  • $169 in bestbuy in USA for a long time……………………..
    RIM is going to death………………..
$224 is not a clever price, no one will buy it…

    • +1

why are you mentioning $169 ????? - thats the price for a refurb. the price for a new one is $199++ all the local taxes that can often be 7 or 8%

I was in BestBuy when i was in the USA last month and Best Buy had no stock - sold out

7' is not a tablet, it is a table. Maybe we should stick to metric.

  • In last Saturday's sale at Harvey Norman (in Shepparton VIC) they had the 32GB model for $199. Didn't think anything of it, as I figured nobody wants one of these =) But then again, it does work (to some extent) with Android apps, doesn't it?

    • This was still marked at $199 yesterday at HN@Domayne Alexandria.

  • No thanks, 12 months ago maybe but not now, too many better options for similar money.

    • thats what she said :p

  • I grabbed 5 @ $149 brand new condition from Mobile Network. They sold out now, many of you feel risky, so guess wat? You just simply miss the good deals.
