Can someone recommend an alternative at the same price so that I don't have to buy from Harley Normal.

    • Not an alternative specifically, but you can get the 4 packs from JB Hi-Fi for $27, and $36 for the RGB ones.

Will sadly still have to go to Hardly Normals for the E14 bulb to fit my lamp though.

Some jbhifi had lenovo smart bulbs for $5 each , last month I used my $10 perk vourcher to buy 2, very happy with them.

I think the connect smart ones are brighter

    • I had two of the Lenovo ones and my personal experience was poor with them. They are useful and do what you expect, but they kept disconnecting and the app would frequently log me out, making if difficult to control them.

Will this connect with the Smart Life App? I don't want to get another app if I can avoid it. Thanks.

I have used 9 of these for around two years and have not had any failures. You have to come up to speed with their idiosyncratic setup especially a 3 socket light. Once setup the app gives you a lot of control on tone and intensity as well as timer settings. It’s a boon when we’re away. The downside with smart globes is power outages and reconnection to wi fi.

  • My lifx lights have been problematic, turned on, not being picked up by the app (saying not connected). Annoying.

    • I was an early adopter of LIFX and I can confirm that the connection is not stable at all. I am using them now as regular bulbs. Kasa is better than LIFX however they too are not reliable. The only lights that work well consistently are the Hue globes. The base station really makes the difference.

      • Yeah so annoying. I got 4 or 5 different bulbs across the rooms, the only one never had issue is the led strip for whatever reason.

I got Hue now and will slowly transition my lights to Hue

These are great and have been using them as corridor lights for the last 2 years. Scheduled with sunlight and sunset, and it never fails. Highly recommended.

  • good price for a smart bulb.

  • Anyone know if these are compatible with Alexa?

Doesn't look like it works with Apple Home

    • +2

Apple tax they have to pay for Homekit support is probably more than $5.

  • Horrible products works for 2 weeks you need to pair it again 😫

    • I have this issue in one room with B22 fittings, they 'forget' the pairing every couple of weeks.
The other room that has ES fittings does not have an issue.
So not sure if the B22 bulbs I have are bad, or the WiFi signal is weak in that room, or something else. I have replaced them with Mirabella Genio in that room and there have been no issues.

    900 lumen, variable colour-temp.

On the down-side, wifi not zigbee, cloud-dependant.

  • look goods

  • I bought 10 last xmass, all have been great, no wifi connection issues, it connects just fine after a power outage. Kids use their Gen2 Google assistant hub. Would buy RGB if they had them on sale this year.

    Brilliant experience we've had.

  • Hi, can these bulbs be controlled remotely? Say I'm not home and want to turn my home lights on, would I be able to do this via the app? Cheers
