  • Dont know if it fits with my toyota camry 13. thanks

    • can add your rego on the site to check if it fits

      • …..or go to the Compatibility tab. Won't fit old mates Camry. Only the CH-R.

        • Unrelated, but nice username you have there

  • +1

Supercheap will price match individual blades… still works out mich cheaper and convenient

    • Certainly not much cheaper, Individual blades are $26.95 each.

do complete arms outperform rubber refills? cant bring myself to keep throwing away arms once they need replacing……….

    • +9

IMO, they are are superior. Being a hoarder though, I didn't throw away my old arms. I just put them in a cupboard (never to be used again)

      • +4

I'm glad I'm not the only one

      • +1

any idea if the Bosch arms can be refilled?

        • +1

They can be, I used to do them when I had a Golf mk7. You have to pry off the metal clips (that are capped with a plastic piece) at one end and then you can pull out the rubber insert. There might be a spacer you need to remove too. You then need to find the correct rubber insert that will fit in the groove. It also needs to be the correct 'stiffness' as if it's too soft it will collapse onto the windscreen, too rigid and it won't mould to the windscreen. Cut the rubber insert to the correct length and then re-assemble. There are some guides on the interwebs.

I used to get my inserts from aliexpress. I could never get it as good as the original Bosch rubber inserts, but it was fraction of the price (couple of bucks each).

    • +4

just never replace your wiper blades during service, honda wanted $90 fitted they were using refills that probably cost them 50 cents

      • Yeah. Costco Michelin FTW! So far the best value for older cars. A little loud though but my old car is noisier in general.

    • Had Aerotwin but needed new wipers so tried the "can I refill the rubber" path

rubber refills are about $12 pair for normal wipers, problem with Bosch Aerotwin is if the std 6mm rubber refills will fit, there are you tube videos of people refilling as the Aerotwin is designed to be refilled, but not sure if a repco or supercheap 6 mm will fit. Seems bosch sell the refills in pack of 20, but supercheap don't carry them.

the "beam" type blades seem popular now compared to the old metal ones, and offer more UV protection for the actual rubber wiper.
I just got some Repco beam blades on the weekend, were $24 each as they have 20% off, can be refilled with 6mm generic rubber refill, the Repco beam blade is actually a "hybrid", not true beam blade.

  • These or Wipertech?

    • +10

Definitely these - wipertech are just el cheapo rubbish with good support and a website

      • +1

Yeah, I gave WiperTech a go and wasn't impressed. Initially they were good but deteriorated quickly. Aerotwins last much longer.

        • +1

Same experience here, my Aerotwins last at least 3 years before replacing whereas the wipertechs were squeaking after a few weeks.

      • +3

Exactly! German design and engineering vs Aussie design and engineering lol

    • +5

i have wipertech a go… they were shit, did not even glide smoothly at all… trashed straight away

    • Thanks for the comments and reviews!

  • I had these on a Golf. Lasted 3 months if that - they shuddered and smeared. Did so much de-contam on the windscreen - still performed poorly. OEM much better.

    • Odd that it didn't last for you. OEM is most likely Valeo or Bosch.

Very happy with my Bosch Aerotwins on my Golf.

Current one has been on the car for 1.5 years, mostly outdoors and still has very good cleaning. Will replace before winter as 2 years is a decent lifespan.

    • +2

      Lasted 3 months if that

Unless you bought from a reputed retailer you probably got fakes. Because they should have easily lasted 3 years not 3 months…

I’ve been using Bosh Aerotwins ever since I first tried them almost 10 years ago. I’ve installed them on 3 cars so far and used them for around 2~3 years till I sold the cars, never had to replace them once.

      • +1

Is spares box a reputable supplier? I got some from their eBay store that had steaks from new.

        • I also bought from sparesbox. OEM are Valeo. Maybe I got duds.

      • +1

Don't quote me on this - but I've had a very similar experience - and from I read there are actually 2 aerotwin variants, made in 2 different places. One of them has much better QC (the good ones) and other is more or a hit and miss. Let me try and find the article

Here's where I spoke about it
        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/547189

        • +1

Mine for a VW Golf were made in Belgium, only lasted 3 mths before shuddering. The springy metal embedded in the rubber frame lost its tension so went back to VW originals and managed to fit the Bosch rubbers…lasted 3 years…YouTube is your friend.

      • Mine were from this retailer. They were fine for a month but now they leave lines when wiping. There doesn't appear to be any damage or irregularities with the wiper blades either.

    • My aero twins still good it's been 4 years, and car stays outside everyday

  • Any one got a good site to source refills?

  • Anyone know a good windscreen cleaner that will take off all the crap??

  • +1

The compatibility info on this site seems busted for bosch wipers. The ones I know fit my car (A310S set) aren't showing up as compatible.

Best to check fitment using a list like this then search for the model number. The website search is crap too, so I've just searched google and it brings up result for this site.

price is as good as I've seen for the ones I need.

    https://www.boschaftermarket.com/xrm/media/images/country_sp…

    • +1

yeah your right the compatibility function on the sets is not matching up when it should, they are having issues with the site, just check through individual blades if they fit, then buy the set

      • It's not just the sets, the individual blades aren't showing as being compatible either.

The reason for my issue is they don't have every variant of the vehicle matching as compatible. If I manually set 'my vehicle' to be the petrol version instead of diesel everything shows up fine.

I also just noticed that IF you have a vehicle selected the website search will only return items that are general fitment or a direct compatibility match, which is why i couldn't find the set I knew fitted.

    • I didnt trust their compability info either - turns out this set is only for the 4WD CHR, mine is the 2WD…they don’t fit hahaha. My mistake. Looks like their refund policy doesn’t cover this so I’ll have to either sell on gumtree or look for an adapator.

Can confirm Bosch Aerotwins are excellent.

Cheaper to get them off their ebay store if paying for delivery

    • nice find, didn't know they had a ebay store, though no free wiper fluid

  • Thanks! Bought the last one I think. Was $4.95 for delivery to metro NSW, 10% off for signing up to their newsletter.

    • Was a code sent to you when you created an account? I created an account but haven't recevied a code yet

      • Yep sent immediately - no wait. Check your spam, it was in promotions of Gmail for me. This is sold out now though.

        • Thanks, nothing in my spam folder unfortunately. The A157S doesn't fit my car so I've got another model.

          • +1

@loveyoulooongtime: It was one email saying ‘Confirm your subscription’, clicked the button in that, signed up with email and password, then got 2nd email with ‘Welcome to Automotive Superstore’ with the code. Hope that helps :(

            • @AlbiesDad: That's strange, I got those emails but there wasn't a code in the emails. Maybe I signed up to a different place then you. I went to Login then create account. Was there a newsletter link sign up page?

              • @loveyoulooongtime: I managed to get the coupon code by visiting the website and putting in my email address to sign up to the newsletter. It's a pop up so I didn't see it with adblocker on. Thanks for the info AlbiesDad

  • BMW quoting $198 to replace wipers. Can get these aerotwins for <$50 and the install is a breeze. Luckily for me AS is down the road.

    • +1

Tell em that they are dreamin.

  • https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/bosch-cleaning-agent/SPO… why is the windscreen washer so expensive…

  • 50ml is probably just enough if you drive a Japanese car.

It won't be enough for Euro cars with 5L washer tanks

  • These for the WIN. Make even a cheap arse car feel luxuriuos when it rains.

  • +1

Don't be fooled, these are still the Gold standard in wiper blades.

  • I've got a pair of Bosch Aerotwin plus (600mm/500mm) from them last week for $53.90 picked up, can recommend both the shop and the wiper. I've got the freebie 50mm washer fluid too, it literally has "one shot" printed on the label.

    • Is it a wiper fluid concentrate? I can’t find any information online about usage/dilution. Surely by one-shot they mean it fills an entire washer fluid tank when diluted with water? I can’t imagine many people would be buying wiper fluid in such a tiny volume :D

      • Sorry my bad it is actually “single shot”, model number is BWA50. Instruction is “pure one measure per windscreen washer bottle” so I guess you can just pure the whole bottle into the washer container.

    • One shot? Lol what is this, wiper fluid for ants? Trial sample?

      • +1

My name is also niagrabzo 'one shot' Domenico. I suppose it means something else.

        • +1

Haha fair! I don't know if this one shot is good for the windscreen though!

  • +1

Aerotwins from Bosch are usually oem copies or in fact sometimes even oem.. easily the best and duplicate original fitment, so no clunky adaptors and failing parts. IMHO of course. ..😂 ..!

  • +3

Got 2…now waiting on deal for a compatible car.

  • If you missed out, I had Bosch and they were still a bit noisy, swapped them with Michelin from Costco and they are much quieter, $15 a blade.

    • +1

Cousin got one to use in SA. Under the sun in work car park , parked on the street night time. Didnt last a year.
Changed to Bosch, lasted 2 years.

      • It's so impressively quiet though, a trade off I guess at that price. Will see how long mine lasts 😊

      • My Michelin is almost 4 years in the sun. COSTCO ftw.

  • +1

    Ngl
The last set of wiper blades i got were $16 off aliexpress
    Work wonders

  • I use these. Excellent blades!

  • Anyone know where I can find an A399S set for the cx-5? seems to be OOS everywhere or is there any other recommendations for cx-5?

  • AS are a great store and Australian Owned! Have bought Aerotwins, car washing stuff and getting a dashcam fitted by them shortly.
