Not sure if I should pull the trigger on this price… It seems to have routinely been $100 cheaper in the past but those deals do seem to have dried up lately.

but those deals do seem to have dried up lately.

      Because of muzeeb

      • Not sure I understand that reference.

        • +4

when muzeeb appears, all the monitors will magically have 90% off instead of 10% off.

    • Yep I bought it for $539 three months ago. If you're not in a hurry maybe wait until boxing day?

      • Ended up finding you can apply the 15% student discount to this price which brought it down to $550. So only $10 extra really than the previous deals - close enough to make it worth while and pull the trigger I think.

          Sweet as!

I worked out you can apply a student discount though which brings it down to $550.72

    • how did you apply the 15% discount? I can only see an option for 7%.

      • After I signed up for the student discount in the link in the description I was sent an email with a few codes. A 7%, 15% and 20% one which were applicable for different products.

The 15% worked for me when ordering this monitor.

    • I went for AOC as it's value for money. 1500 Vs 1800R
AOC doesn't support VRR for PS5, this one does.
For work + gaming, I liked the AOC.
I had got AOC for 498 via Microsoft eBay store.

Overall both are good, S34 is surely better but not sure if you'd wanna pay anything more than 540 (which is its usual price during sale)

      • I bought an AOC U34G3X 34” Flat IPS for $499 definitely a great monitor aswell as the G2X however is 2 years newer with more features

      • Picked up the CU34G2X for $458 in the latest Zip/Ebay deals, plus $10 via Shopback cashback from ebay giftcards.. Seems very comparative to the abovementioned Dell model

    RIP muzeeb

I have this monitor, I managed to get it from a deal posted here earlier with the student discount ($500) It is a great monitor.

I highly reccomend anyone getting this monitor use the calibration profile on the Rtings review. Out of the box the colours are pretty poor.

such a good monitor. i'd say much better than my previous set up of dual monitors. I don't know if the curve does anything, but i don't notice it at all and didnt take any time to get used to it.

  • On a side note - if anyone is looking at the Dell S3423DWC for $697.40 -
    https://www.dell.com/en-au/work/shop/dell-34-curved-usb-c-mo…

I was debating whether to post it , as it's not the greatest price and I didn't want to get roasted. .lol ..

All credits to "doweyy" for the instructions - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/662785 - Worked like a charm.

You get the edu code for 15%-
Brings it down to $591.79 - and there appears to be stock in hand - ordered mine y'day and appears to be tracking for delivery tomorrow.

Probably will be better deals come boxing day , as Dell hasn't really changed the pricing on this monitor for several months now.
But you'll be waiting till sometime in January for delivery.

  • This or the LG 34WP65C? https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/lg-34wp65c-b-34-160hz-qhd….

    I game and process photographs.

      This one is better

      • Thanks. Pulled the trigger.

  • Tossing up between this and Lenovo g34w-10 as currently on sales in JB-Hifi. Any suggestion?

I’d say the dell one, I remember watching a review for the Lenovo and the ghosting isn’t great. Lenovo also has a brightness of 350cd/m^2 whereas Dell has 400 = brighter screen.

it seems dell only sends a 7% discount coupon now, i dont get the 15%/20% coupons as the others have. it looks like they've changed their tcs to just that?
how unfortunate, i was hoping to buy this tonight :(

That’s a shame. Hopefully not too long before it’s on sale again
