Anyone actually confirmed that this is the case?

  • "with & without Coupon"

    like for ALL coupons codes?

    • Grammar error:

      “With or without Coupon”

  • Cap overall? Or cap per purchase?

    • +3

      Overall cap.
Shop up to $300 to get $30 cash back and shop up to $200 paying with westpac to get $20 cash back.

    • +1

Capped per purchase mate, and these two are stackable within the same purchase as well.

Thanks for stopping by, prepare to be hammered by the same questions over and over. Ill get in first to look less stupid….

Not many codes are listed on the shopback site as approved. Without knowing all codes that are potentially out there, are the 15/17% SVDEC15/PLDEC17 off codes and XMAS codes XMASTC XMASHD XMASHG included with this promo?

Also should we access through the desktop portal over the browser addon?

        Thanks in advance

        • +2

This promo is good for all coupon codes so you're all good there.

I'd definitely recommend clicking through to eBay from our website on desktop or shopping via mobile as te extension drop down has been turned off for eBay.

      • Capped per purchase? I read that as we can buy 10 things worth $300 each, and if non-westpac you'll receive $30 on all, so $300 cashback in total. Is that correct?!

        • That's correct, just remember to click back through ShopBack in between each purchase so that each purchase tracks.

  • God damn it, made 2 purchases like 2 hours ago with coupons thinking we won't get a with coupon cashback

Anyone use a unique code last time have theirs tracked? I still have $20 voucher to use

    • unique code is very likely to be untracked or denied cashback.

    • Yes, SB tracked my purchase using the monthly eBay Plus $5 off $15 voucher during the 8% promo. Though mentioned the promo code exclusion would apply in the future. @gotyourback can you please confirm the same for this promo?

      • Yeah I think we need some clarification on sitewide promo codes vs the individual codes we get as I have a $25 off $150 spend I’d like to use

      • +2

They will always track. Whether they will be approved is another story.

Can use eBay giftcard plus get cashback?

    • +1

      Yes

      • +1

What about for the Westpac deal? Or is a Westpac linked card all that is needed to get the extra 10%

        • Oh! Yea… so pay by westpac is better than 5% discount giftcard! Right?

        • The t&c’ didn’t say how much the purchase needs to be simply that a westpac card needs to be used. I’m thinking even $1 will count. But I’m not sure.

      • But doesn't it say you need to pay via westpac?

  • +1

Is one transaction per account only?

What does "10% Bonus Cashback for Westpac Customers" mean? Do I have to pay with a Westpac credit/debit card on eBay to get that 10% bonus? For a $200 item, if I pay $190 with gift cards, and $10 with a Westpac debit card how much cashback will I get?

    • +1

yes, I want to know that too, plus, I usually use Paypal for the added security if things go wrong…item damaged in transit or issues with the item, not sure how good ebay alone are with this sort of thing to help out with problems….what might happen is you only get Westpac cashback on the amount you pay using the westpac card…so, in that case, 10% on the $10

    • +1

Hey there mate, you can use partial gift card payment on these orders, provided you also use your linked eligible Westpac card on the purchase alongside it. For eBay, gift cards are fully stackable in this way, but other merchants have different terms for gift card use (such as some invalidating Cashback when a gift card is used, or only calculating Cashback based on the amount not paid by gift card), so always best to double check the terms here for each eligible store. Hope that helps to clarify!

      • +1

I only realised that linking my Westpac card to Shopback was a thing after my purchase. I've linked it now, would I be eligible for the bonus cashback?

        • You might get lucky since the transaction would be pending for a couple of days on CC before finalised

Cashback might only get tracked once purchase is posted/finalised

        • Hey mate, unlikely I'm afraid! The Bonus will only apply to purchases made after your card is linked.

  • Time to use eBay $80 voucher

    • +5

beware!! that is not a code, it's a voucher, so cashback wont track :(

    • +1

I used my $80 voucher a few days back with the last shopback westpac deal. cashback tracks but only on the balance remaining after voucher. I purchased an item for $120 and got roughly $4 westpac cashback and $4 normal cashback.

    • How do you get this voucher

  • +1

So pay with WESTPAC card for 20% cashback off the final cost? eg. (after store provided discount codes, ebay plus code)

    • prob after GST taken off

  • +1

Is cashback still eligible if you add products from your watchlist or Wishlist, does anyone know please

  • What to use my $80 voucher on!!!! Anyone with good ideas?

  • Why do the terms and conditions still say voucher codes will invalidate cashback?

    • +1

Hey mate, those are the terms on outside these stackable upsizes, we are getting the page updated to reflect that codes can stack now during this upsize period.

  • +1

Where does it actually say with or without coupon?

It is still pretty clear on the shopback site that say ebay coupons and vouchers are not eligible.

      • Inconclusive. Not convinced.

        • +3

Hope I can convince you; they are stackable during this upsize, we're working on getting the page on our site updated for today :)

  • is it 1 transaction or cap $30 per account

    • i made a $170 purchase and a $150 purchase and both tracked. I used a ebay plus code that took $20 off 150 spend on both purchases, they were unique codes.

  • Wasn't there a "get 20$ voucher if you spend 120 on December" promotion by eBay or am i going insane?

  • How will Shopback know if you make your purchase on eBay with Westpac card?

    • +1

When eBay declines/approves to pay cashback to SB

    • +4

You need to register your Westpac card with your Shopback account first btw.
      https://www.shopback.com.au/westpac

    • +2

Hey mate, ShopBack is integrated with the network payment processors (Mastercard and Visa) using card-linking technology, so when you use an eligible card we will have the info to track it. No card details are provided to us during this, it's all integrated on the back end.

  • Does this also include auction listings, best offers, and international purchases? Previously SB Didn't track for those.

    • I think international would be included, as long as purchased via eBay.com.au.

Auction, Best offers are not usually included

      • Haiyaa

  • Of course this happens after I make a purchase..

    • Yep, bought something yesterday. Ah well, easy come easy go.

  • "Cashback is valid when gift cards are used as a payment method" - imp one for those planning to use Gift Cards for payment.

I panic bought one of the 15L ones on Saturday when stock dropped to single digits.

I'm not upset about the purchase, I'm upset because I rushed and forgot my $80 voucher! Would have been a $50 fridge haha

But I've had a 35L Dual Zone for 18 months and it's been great. Power hungry, but great otherwise

Sometimes the early bird gets the worm, sometimes its the second mouse that gets the cheese. Never know how it's gonna go
After the Rovin fridges, getting in early would have been the right move. I'm fortunate that I don't have any burning need for one, so I could afford to wait. I went for the 25L one

        $80 voucher

Damn, missed that one. Thats a good deal. Worth signing up for extra accounts to get that and the other benefits

  • +1

So are the following coupons eligible or not?
    - XMASPA
    - PLDEC17
Based on what I can see here, they are but on the sb website they aren't because they aren't listed in the 'coupons' tab of the eBay store.

    • +1

I think only selected codes, I am hesitant to take risk , even no listing for PLUSDEC1/2 Codes which make you qualify for $20 voucher, I guess different/targeted for each user

      • It's very unclear, at this point I'm assuming no coupons work.

    • +1

All promo codes are fine to use for this promo period mate, so you're all good to go there.

      • So to confirm, both "XMASPA" and "PLDEC17" will not interfere with shopback and still allow it to be tracked? Going forward how will we know what does/doesn't work especially when the coupon codes aren't explicitly called out on the SB page?

        • Generally codes aren't stackable, it's only during some promo periods that they are. I've flagged with the team that we'll need to make the promo periods where they are stackable more obvious on our site so should hopefully be easier to know in future.

      • How about the PLHEVY codes that are for the $80 voucher?

        • +1

Code's all good, the vouchers from eBay Plus are still a bit grey as they haven't confirmed they can be stacked, I haven't seen any issues with their use so far but I do always say to use with your discretion. At the very least, do note that Cashback will be calculated based on the purchase amount after the voucher is applied.

          • @gotyourback: Thanks GYB

          • @gotyourback:

At the very least, do note that Cashback will be calculated based on the purchase amount after the voucher is applied.

            Good enough for me!
