  • Heya any other decent discounts on the 822a?
Preferably to bring it below aliexpress.

  • Anyone know any cameras that can be viewed inside the Google Home app on Android? Looking to avoid having multiple apps for different IoT devices.

    • Reolink (some models) will pair with Google Home so long as you don't use the NVR. If you use the NVR they will not. Need to check compatability per camera.

      • I have this one paired with an NVR and it still works with google home

        • Awesome, thanks. So you can view inside the Google App and it doesn't link you off to the ReoLink app? You're using the E1 Pro 4MP?

          • @monkeynews: Oh, I ask google to cast it to the Nest hub etc and it works. It doesn't work through the google home app though.

  • Still a fair bit off the all time low circa $51

    • This seems to be the newer version with auto tracking?

  • What software do you use to view these?

  • Perfect… I have a person/pet I’ve been keeping in my basement and finally I’ve found a camera with person/pet detection.

  • I did not think the E1 Pro had Person/Pet Detection? You use to have to go for the "E1 Outdoor" unit if you want those features?

    • Hi, pls know that this one is upgraded now to support Person/Pet Detection.

      • +2

Thanks for confirming… So silly of Reolink to keep the same camera name as the old version that does not have AI support… I think they really should have named this the E2 Pro or something like that to make it clear it's a new model with new features. Etc.. any way appreciate the confirmation on it being an updated version with AI hardware added…

  • I wonder whether the old version can gain tracking abilities with a firmware update?

    • I've just checked with Reolink support and apparently not, the old version is missing an AI hardware chip or so they've told me that anyway… I personally think it's very silly of them keeping the same product name for what is essentially an updated unit that should have been called either the E2 or E2 Pro possibly…

  • Do these support RTSP? If so it seems worth the little bit extra over the cost of a TP-Link C200.

    • Would love to know this too, everything I see the old E1 Pro had RTSP but it's hard to find information on the "new" model.

    • I have this camera, I don't believe it supports RTSP, but it does support FTP upload which I find much better than RTSP if you are only looking at motion activated recording

    • Just heard back from the eBay vendor (Reolink themselves it seems), and they've confirmed this version also supports RTSP.

  • How does this one compare to Imou ranger 2c 4mp camera which can be bought around $45 from eBay…just want to use it for remote viewing…. Any experiences
    Thanks…
