I believe this is a new all-time low, and feels like they are trying to clear these out. Bought for $260ish a couple months back and am very happy with it. Battery lasts more than long enough, USB power out is handy, and gets excessively loud.

  I have this speaker right next to me, it's pretty great. Keep in mind you'll need to keep it plugged in to get the full 100w. It's a bit big, but that is an excellent price.

    What do you mean by keeping it plugged in? To the wall adapter? or you mean Aux cable?
    And how did you understand that? Any official statement about it?

      I recently bought one - they mean plugged into the wall. The specs on the sheet included state the below;

      2 x 25W RMS woofer +
      2 x 25W RMS tweeter (AC power mode)

    That was something that was apparently fixed from the first and second versions. Personally, I don't mind the sound signature for a primarily loud pop speaker (I've changed the EQ in the app to a V-curve, so take of that what you will.)

    It just comes down if you feel you want/need a bigger, louder speaker. Same sort of comparison as UE Boom vs Megaboom

    This if you want more for outdoors/like more bass heavy music, charge 5 for portability. Both are very good and I doubt you will be disappointed by either tbh.

  Bought this in store today. Rep was pretty surprised at the price and said he might just upgrade his xtreme 2 … I think its a pretty good deal compared to rrp.
  I'm also happy with the USB-PD charging support from my 100w/20000mah baseus powerbank, and its the largest speaker with usb charging support in the JBL range. Oh and it sounds pretty good too
