Saw this pop up while scrolling Facebook. Doesn't seem like it's targeted, but I might be wrong. Only works on delivery orders according to the fine print. Not sure how many stores are supporting, but I got a tasty cheap dinner tonight from a local non-chain store so no complaints here!

Frankly I barely use food delivery services these days because the upcharge per item + delivery + surcharge usually means that even with a 30% off voucher you're really just breaking even vs a direct order. But, the breakdown on this one is good so use it if you can.

    Menulog has really dropped off a cliff. Ordered dinner at 6.15, stuck on driver assigned since about 6.30. Not delivered until 8.10pm. This place is only a 3 min walk away. Food stone cold and a small portion too..

      the portion bit seems down to the restaurant but man have to agree, being a fairly frequent user of all 4 (now 3) of the big delivery apps menulog is unique is just how shit they are at keeping to their ETA. i commonly get the ETA hover between 7-30mins and stay in that region for over an hour, never had anything like that from the other apps.

      First time ordering on menulog
      noticed on the attached receipt that the discount is shown so if the restaurant knows we got a discount, they might give small portions for that reason.

      Never saw the discount on doordash or Uber eats receipt so I don’t know if the restaurant also know when we get discounts on those.

      A Dominos did that once to me on cheap voucher codes. I rang them and asked why they only put three or four prawns on the pizza and they straight out said it was because I got it so cheap

    Menulog is a mess, ordered from the same store within ten mins of another housemate, mine came 6:10 and theres is now showing 7:00, surely they can get these both out at once?

    Their system doesn't account for that?

    Just bought 3 boxes of korean fried chicken, advertised at 600grams each. I received them and immediately noticed that 2 boxes has significantly less chicken, the first box weighed in at 550g, second box at 470 and last box at 440. The local shop that I ordered from is usually super nice and fills the boxes pretty full, which leaves me to suspect that the delivery driver has taken some.
    Not only am I upset about the fact that there is clearly less chicken than what was advertised, I am also worries about hygiene issues. Does this happen often?

      I was using Deliveroo for long time. I don’t think it was because of all the discounts people were getting which caused them not to be profitable in Australia. It’s because they didn’t expand at all. I couldn’t get anything delivered from restaurants beyond 2 suburbs from my house. There’s a nando’s 2 suburbs from me
      I had to park my car on a street a few blocks away from me to get it delivered and they didn’t operate at all past 10 to 15 km from my city’s CBD in a city of over 2.5 million I get deliveries from close to 10 km away with the others

          I think you can just make the postcode for the address at checkout 4000 and keep the rest the same and it should work.
