  • bought mine body only for $2,689.95, this kit lens is easily one of the best zoom lenses on the fuji. and will fetch you more than 200 2nd hand
crazy seeing so many deals for such a new camera

    • Going rate for the 18-55 is $330 in as new condition.

    • I must’ve had a bad copy, but I wasn’t a fan of the 18-55 at all. Moved on from it pretty quickly.

      • What didn't you like about it? I've been happy with mine.

  • How does this compare to the popular x100v? Are there 50mm equivalent primes for it?

    • This is much more flexible and complex at the same time. You can use the 27mm pancake which will give the same focal length. The camera that is most similar to the x100v is the X-E4 with a 27mm pancake lens. It's almost as small, but without the optical viewfinder, and no flash.

      • the x100v is a 23mm rather than a 27mm

the 2 are very different cameras; the x100v is stylish and fun, it's all about the optical viewfinder experience in a relatively compact camera, while the x-t5 isn't as cool but is better in almost all technical aspects, with interchangeable lenses, IBIS, better autofocus, better battery life, bigger viewfinder, and a screen that tilts in one more direction. The only practical advantages of the x100v are its size and possibly the built in 4-stop ND filter

    • there are quite a few 50mm equivalents - 35mm f2 XF (metal, weather sealing, with aperture ring) and XC (optically identical but plastic, no sealing, no aperture ring), 35mm f1.4, and the new 33mm f/1.4

I've used all but the XC and they are all great lenses

      • Apparently the 35mm XC version uses the same optical construction as the XF 35mm f2, without the aperture ring and weather sealing, so it's basically a cheaper version of it with the same optical quality.
