    Sounds like a great deal!

  • how much is the ice-cream in WWS?

    • Online price is 4.97 ea. Should be same in store? Will update description.

      • Same in store.

        • they are $4.97 20% off this week

  • +1

Should add, The creamy light of Peters is awesome! Love the Rasberry and the choc caramel twirl flavors.

  • website is being really slow its been on claim now for the last 10 minutes… oh and now its saying i have the wrong barcodes wa!

    • And it doesn't show captcha image..

    • ok make sure the tubs u buy have the promotional sticker on the tub otherwise its not valid… bought 2 and found that out the hard way sucks!

      • but the website shows: "2 PETERS Light & Creamy products must be purchased in a single transaction from any Woolworths supermarket? didnt mention promotion packs??

claim form shows u need Woolworths Receipt Number and the Last 4 Digits of the Product Barcode

        • yea i rang the 1300 number she said it has to have promotion sticker and code on it to be eligible

        • You rang the wrong number its 1800 633 200

        • sorry i did mean 1800

      • Are you sure? This was the last year, promotional tubs had promo codes under lids.

        • no promo codes under my lids!

    • you need your docket

  • Wow! Definitely getting the Ice Cream and getting the Top Gear mag.

    Good deal!

  • The Claim Code is a 9-digit code which contains both letters and numbers that will be sent to you via email

    • thats to get the magazine! not the icecream!

  • Purchase any two PETERS Light & Creamy Ice Cream products in a single transaction from any Woolworths supermarket during the Offer Period (“Eligible Purchase”)

  • +1

There's no where on the claim form for any promotional code to be entered just barcodes

  • site down?

  • Oh cool, I'd already bought two tubs this afternoon :)

    • let me know if urs works lol

      • Alas, the site seems to be down at the moment.

        • Working for me but hideously slow.
On the plus side, it still said 5640 claims left, so I'm guessing it's not slow because it's been OzBargained.
Wife out getting two tubs right now, oh yeh some good times coming up tonight… eating ice cream.

        • yea the security code isnt coming up so i cant even try again

  • It's saying that the barcodes arent valid.

  • Can anyone post a pic of the promo sticker?

    • Pretty sure there isn't one. Not on any of the tubs in my local woolies, and the claim form just wants a barcode.

      • It says my barcode is invalid. How would you be able tell whether the tub is part of the promo?

        • It also says my receipt number is invalid and security code invalid. So seems like their validation system simply not working.

        • I think my receipt number was considered legit. It's the 4 numbers after 'TRANS' on the bottom.

      • it only just started today so i wouldnt be suprised if a lot of woolies hadnt got the promo tubs in yet as they already have enough stock

        • Yeh you're probably right, my codes are 'invalid'.
If you believe this is in error, call 1800 633 200… which is closed. Guess I'll have to call tomorrow morning and see if the deal can still be had… now I really want that magazine that I never really wanted and may never read.

        • i already rang them up earlier she said its not the barcode its the code under the lid /sigh i just want my cleo mag!

        • Maybe she was wrong? Seems weird that the claim form would specifically reference last 4 digits of product barcode, and under 'participating products' it doesn't mention specially marked promotion packs or anything like that…
So did she say she can process your claim manually?

        • -1

no she said its the code under the lid and then that's it was very unhelpful plus was asking me how i even knew about the promotion i mean doesnt sound like this woman knew anything! but my barcodes didnt work so i figured has to be promo products why else wouldnt they work?

        • I dunno, but they probably wouldn't put this on the website if they weren't expecting some barcodes not to be automatically validated:
          ~
What if the PETERS Light & Creamy website doesn’t accept my details and I keep getting an error message?
Check that you have entered all details correctly in the required fields, (note that fields marked with an asterisk are mandatory). If you are still receiving an error message please call 1800 633 200 advising us of the details of your error message.

I'll try calling tomorrow and not taking no for an answer, and post back with how it goes.

        • +2

there is no barcode/code/quiz under the lid

  • +2

do they continue mail spamming you after subscription ends?

  • +1

What a joke. Sloooooow website, doesn't recognise your bar code, and then you can't even enter a security code. Looks as though the 1800 number is going to cop a hammering tomorrow.

  • +1

Nothing works, can't even see the security code.

  • In the Woolworths catalogue for specials that start on Weds 11/7 the terms and conditions say:

    • That is incredibly frustrating that they would imply on the website that you DON'T need to purchase specially marked packs, as most, if not all people who purchased them today will be ripped off.

Edit: it did however just accept my claim using non promo pack barcodes. Before it was saying the codes were invalid.

      • That is incredibly frustrating that they would imply on the website that you DON'T need to purchase specially marked packs, as most, if not all people who purchased them today will be ripped off.

Think of it this way — you now have an excuse to buy more ice cream ;)

  • You have to use Internet Explorer to see the security code, doesn't look like it works properly in Firefox

    • Works in Chrome (on my iPad)

  • +1

Bought two of the Light and Creamy without promo stickers. Entering the information from the Woolies receipt and 4 digits from the barcodes on the pack seemed to work. I hope.

    Got a confirmation that says:

If your claim is successful, you will receive an email with your Magazine Redemption Code within 10 working days.

Haven't received any form of email confirm whatsoever. There is no way to prove that you claimed unless you screen save the final screen. A good offer seemingly badly executed.

    • As per above - there's no way to tell whether your claim has been successful or not. The security work DOES appear on Chrome, Internet Explorer, or Firefox. I reckon their website was overloaded this afternoon so the code didn't appear.

  • Yeh, it worked now, at 5.51am using Chrome. Guess there was a bit less traffic.
Two 1.8L ice cream tubs, not specially marked. Didn't work last night with the same codes.

Great deal, and the ice cream is pretty good too…

    • +1

I had trouble sleeping last night not knowing if I would get my magazines or not :( but as soon as I read your post I tested it out and it worked for me too using Chrome, thanks!!

Although my receipt number looks funny. Its like "STORE xxxx POS xxx TRANS xxxx"

I didnt have another receipt from a different woolies to compare with so I just put in the numbers in between.

      Hope this helps :)

      • yea mine worked too this morning using the same barcodes i was using yesterday.. the thing is i wont find out till about 10 working days so im still gunna go on the hunt for the promo ones to get a mag for my brother

      • Same at the bottom of my docket too man.

  • +1

If you're interested in this deal try and get it today to Woolworths, as the ice cream goes up to 6.94 each tub tomorrow. Nice markup

    • -1

      That's the normal price

  • So you can claim this without having specially marked packs? Cause I just went to two different Woolies and neither of them had tubs with anything marked on them for this promo.
It just appears from everything above there is conflicting info from Woolies site and then Peters official site.

    • Didn't find any specially marked packs at my local today either - although I spent a couple minutes peering into the freezer to read the fine print on the flyers, doesn't say anything about specially marked packs so I went for it.

      • Ahh, we didn't even have the flyers at either shops :S
Cool..I'll go grab two tomorrow then..Worse is I end up with two tubs of icecream.

    • -1

I would buy normal (non-promo) packs… eat all the ice cream, return them to woolies saying there is no special voucher (and you had to check at the bottom of the ice cream for the voucher), then ask for a refund.

  • I'd say the website is being hammered right now - when you go to the website, this is the message you get :
    Error establishing a database connection.

    Just great.

    • The whole Nestle website down too

  • This is bit annoying. If this would be a Joe from the Corner shop, I would understand that his $5 a month server may not be able to cope, but Nestle? Hope this will get to the right places and their IT (or marketing) will learn from it. It is not like hundreds of thousands people going to it at the same time. Yes, it needs some grunt, but hey, many discussion servers are hit much worse every day. This cannot even be called ozbargained! :-)
Once I get through I will mark the deal. If it will be sucess it was a great deal, cheap subscription and a free ice cream! :-)

  • +3

Website is back up and has this message:
Unfortunately there was an error in the Woolworths Catalogue. Specially marked packs that feature an 8 character unique claim code are not required to enter the 2012 PETERS Light & Creamy Free 6 Month Magazine Subscription offer.

    • Nice! Thaanks for this :)

    • Yes, but it is still sooo sloow and does not show the captcha.
Also - more worrying - shows 5640 claims left (out of 5640).

    • Woohoo this makes me very happy

  • The website is getting hammered…

I bought my 2 Ice Cream tubs today for $4.97 (the price in the freeze was something like $6.97)

And I cannot get it to submit.

"Sorry, that code is not valid for this promotion"

  • Tried putting in the codes today after last nights debacle. Site said I had already lodged twice, well not to my knowledge as the system was slow last night and I even get to submit the completed claim. Called the free call number this morning and explained the situation. She took my details and said someone would call me back which they did. The rep entered my details at her end and got confirmation that my claim was successful . Just waiting on email confirmation now which may take up to 10 days. Recommend you call the freecall number if you have issues

  • Site seems to be working (at least temporarily) again. Using 3 different browsers & continually refreshing them, I eventually got saw the security code to input at 10:20pm tonight. (all browsers worked in the end)

I then worked through the rest of the fields (the site accepted the receipt number as the 4 digits after TRANS on the receipt). The last 4 digits of the barcode also failed (not valid …), but with persistence finally worked with exactly the same details.

All for that no reference number other than they'd get back to me in 10 days. Now for the eating!!

I'd say there was a database connection error and the error codes were symptoms of the connection issues to the promoter, so late night or early morning attempts are most likely to succeed.

& finally the homepage counter is updating and says 4315 magazines left. I hope that lifts your spirits!!

  • beginner's luck. first time for this promotion and application and it worked on the first go. yah!!
i entered all the digits of the receipt number, hopefully it's valid.

currently 4259 left, good luck to others!!

  • Website is much better now. Have no problem claiming. Now waiting for the email. It says about 10 days.

  • Are magazines usually sent in a big paper envelop or clear plastic bag?

    • clear plastic

      • Cheers

  • Went through the self checkout and stupid me hit no to the receipt out of habit. Had to get a lady to reprint it and its a duplicate receipt and the closest thing to a receipt number on it is the 4 digit transaction number. Guess I will find out in 10 days if it worked :(

    • That IS the receipt number required.

      • The receipt number is the Store(4 numbers)+POS(3#)+TRANS(4#) right?

    • Yeah, I put in the TRANS# as well since I went through self checkout and it didn't show the same as the website did..So that to me makes the most sense. If it fails I'll be ringing them up.

  • I forgot to print the receipt at the checkout and in my haste to get home, I forgot to ask for a reprint. So I've put in my everyday Rewards Card number as the transaction number and my claim went through. I hope they accept it as I always buy this ice cream and I dont see myself going back to buy tub 3 & 4 just to get the magazine subscription. I would have thought it would be easier to just enter two barcodes from inside of lids or something, than keep a receipt as many of us ditch the receipt out of pure habit anyway.

  • Got my redemption code overnight, ordered this morning.

    • just out of interest, did you use the TRANS number (4 digits) as your receipt number? Or a combo of the store+Pos+trans?

    • +1

Just got mine too, I only used the 4 numbers

  • Some people are getting it that submitted on Tuesday while people who did it on Monday still haven't got codes.

  • Went on the website on Friday 13/7, had bought 2 of ice cream slices. Entered the whole store, pos & trans # with no spaces and last 4 digits of barcode and had no problems. Just waiting on email. "subscriptions left" was about 1240 when I was online.

  • It's now saying the offer is closed, all gone!

    • Ozbargained already…

  • Still no email - those who have received it, who was it from? Just to be sure spam isn't catching it.

    • they said could take up to 10 business days mine took 4, its from peters light and creamy mine didnt go in my spam folder

  • No idea where to enter my redemption code now that I've got it… On the payment screen there's only The option for a gift voucher which requires a password. So damm confused.

    • That's odd. I got mine and followed the link in the email and it was very clear after registration where to put in the code.

      • Got it working on the PC, the phone brought up the wrong payment screen.

        • i did mine on my phone and had no problems

  • Are we suppose to get 2 magazine redemption codes?
