    Calling all coffee afficionados!

    I'm thinking of getting the Silenzio ($599 @ Alternative Brewing) for my first electric grinder. We've 5 people in the house with different sleeping schedules so the quieter operation fits our use case.

    But, this means we've only got budget for a ~$500 espresso machine. Was thinking of getting the Breville Bambino ($419)/Bambino Plus ($506) since it can get started in just 3 seconds, and apparently has good milk features (we lean towards milk-based stuff).

    Does this pairing make sense at all? Would love some thoughts :)

      Yeah Bambino would be a good start. Considerations would be the portafilter size which is 54mm. It’s narrower and taller than the standard 58mm.

      Another thing is the milk steamer. It’s a single boiler, so you can’t extract and steam milk at the same time. Perhaps it shouldn’t matter much since if it’s not all 5 of you needing coffee at the same time.

  Pretty good prices on Eureka products: at these prices not worth buying from ECS. On another hand, most of the Precision brand can buy from AliExpress for a half price or less, delivered.

  I have this model at home and bought a single dose funnel off Aliexpress, full steel. Waiting on another blower part to clean the grinder out.
