Seems like a very good price for the bundle of games included.

Notice how humble bundle now default selects a higher purchase price than the price of the bundle? The bundle is $19 but the “suggested/selected” price is $35

    • +2

Yea noticed that too. A tactic to probably convince people to donate more.

    • +2

It's always been this way. Lots of charities do this.

      • Not always, but for a good while now.

        • +2

Seems like they've been doing it this way for years.

@ozbs25: Yeah, I just surprised myself looking at when IGN bought Humble Bundle, it was 2017, and that is when many practices there changed.

            • +1

@FabMan: I don't really have a problem with it. It's pretty clear how much you have to pay to get the different bundles/(tiers). If you aren't checking how much you are paying before you commit, that's kinda on you. This is especially true if you can redirect almost all of the funds away from Humble and to the publishers or charity. I've worked/volunteered for charities before and we had different POS machines with different default minimum donation amounts so people could easily/quickly donate more. If you didn't want to donate that much you just had to ask to use a different machine or pay with cash.

If you really do make a mistake, I've heard that you can contact support and they will fix it for you (It takes forever right now to get in touch with support)

This stopped being about charity as soon as IGN bought them and they have been progressively using every shady tactic they can since taking over a few years ago. Even Humble "Choice" is now choosing 8 from a selection of 8 (used to be 12)

People should also adjust their donation manually each time as they cut themelves in for a much larger share than the charity gets by default. (Can't cut them out completely anymore either.)

For example, if you pay the $35, $10.50 goes to Humble and only $1.75 to charity. For $50, it's $16.50 to Humble and only $2.75 to charity and if you check the fine print, they don't even get 100% of that allocation either. Always adjust the custom amount.

I've not really kept up with PC gaming news and so on since around 2016/17 when my then PC died, and coming back during to check it out in 2020/21 I was really puzzled what happened to Humble (and Steam). Banger deals basically don't come around any more and they've all gone dodgy and trying to wring out ever cent.

I have from that list AC, ACC, AMS, AMS2 and RF2.

Great games and I paid a lot more for them, with RF2 only bought a few weeks ago to play LFM.

In short, a great deal for these games.

  • +4

That is insane, I nearly bought ACC for ~$19 last week. This is an absolute no brainer now! Thanks OP.

  • +7

Damn of course right after I paid for ACC and AMS2 recently thinking it was a good price.

    • +4

purchased on steam? less than 2 hours played? refund!

      • I bought this first anyway for rfactor 2 and to have spare keys. But I just checkef and my AMS2 purchase was just 1 day over the 14 days. Not played at all. Would I still get a refund for it? Seems to be within 14 days and less than 2 hours played?

        • +2

If i was you i would attempt the refund. It is up to whoever looks at your request. I have had it go either way when outside the 2 week time frame. Worst they can do is refuse to refund

          • @DanielP2: I will look at it again and try! Just that I bought them as a bundle and it is somehow putting them together when I request a refund when I only want to refund half and keep half.

        • +2

I've gotten refunds for games I bought many months ago. Also some with over 2 hours play time which were buggy. I can't recall ever being rejected.

Just don't be brief or lazy when writing your request and you should be fine.

          • @Freezies: Thanks for your response too! I will see I can get half the bundle refunded or not!

Great pack! I purchased a previous version of this: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/687783

    • This one seems like much better value, right?

      • +2

The old one had 3 months subscription to iRacing and was $2 cheaper. Otherwise identical.

    Just purchased, thanks!
I've already got ACC - so if anyone is interested in Steam key PM me.

  • Which of these titles is the one with all the mods?

    • +2

      Asseto Corsa I think.

  • That is an awesome deal!

  • bundle is over :(

    • +2

Oh wow thought it was gonna expire tomorrow. Do they have a limit on the amount of bundle sold?

      • +3

All of these encore bundles are limited in stock.

Quantities for our Holiday Encore game bundles are highly limited, and this bundle will no longer be available for purchase after supplies run out.

        • Humble Bundle still commonly oversells and allows purchases even after supplies run out as they defer claiming the key at point of sale - which is ridiculous.

rFactor 2 was purchased as part of the bundle with the key unclaimable by the recipient I gifted it to…

Hopefully do not need to wait another 3 to 24 months for them to manually re-stock from the developer at bargain prices… https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/687783

        • Encore to finally allow people to redeem their backordered bundle from almost a year ago

In the context of the oversold non-stocked keys it sounds like encore bundles are simply repeating next batch of tens of thousands of keys they manually bargained from each developer that they needed to fulfil after shortchanging people who bought the previous bundles

Missed out. Saved $30. Oh well.

    • same. I snooze I lose I guess.

  • Warning - Humble Bundle sells non-existent keys

Was a great xmas gift surprise to someone…

Pretty astonishing of a known brand that people are still unable to claim keys from purchases years ago.

These are not the types of games that should fall through the cracks vs small quantity limits with Steam indie developers
