I was brewing a pot of tea.

      Did I miss anything ?

      • Blasphemy!

        • I just returned from Boston.

  • Okay that’s a good price!

  • Is this worth it vs the bes870 for additional $200?

    • Good question.

    • I'd say so, it's a lot easier to clean after as there is a low amount of coffee grinds on the drip tray compared to the Express imo

How about comparing to the pro.

      • Get a dosing funnel for $20 and you'll never see another mess.

    • No but it's worth spending yet another $200 for the dual boiler.

  • Good price. Could try price match at jbhifi or the good guys and pay with discounted gift cards from Woolworths. 10% off Ultimate Home Gift Cards.

    • Amazon is price matching JB

      JB has it same price.

  • what is the portafilter size on this? if is less than 58mm I am out.

    • 54, you basically have to go BDB to get that sweet sweet 58. Or the mini barista I guess…

  • +1

This is a strange machine. Without weighing, how does it know how much grounds is in the portafilter? But if you have to remove the portafilter to weight it, than it contradicts the less mess claim, and you might as well just use a regular tamper.

If the dose level is a volumetric measurement, then it is highly inaccurate. Finer grounds has less volume, coarser grounds has more volume.

    • Good question. I would also be interested in knowing the answer.
