  • Anyone know the lug width so i can get that band off it

    • yeah needs a nicer strap for sure

    • +12

And here's me liking the band lol

      • might be fine in person…just looks a little pale & 'canvassy' in photos?

        • +3

Looks like someone cut up a potato sack into pieces and made watch bands out of it

        • +1

It is actually nice. A little stiff to use at the beginning, but it becomes flexible. I ordered this strap off Amazon, but it was too long for my smallish wrist. And the original strap looked better than the replcement :)

    • really hard to find that details. the best I found was this listing: https://www.amazon.com/Citizen-Eco-Drive-Watch-Stainless-Sil… was this that looks a very similar model that mentions a 21mm one. That would make it a really strange size.

      • +1

Yeah thats my concern - all my watches are 20mm and I refuse to buy anything outside of that so I can change bands easily :P

        • I am the same with 22mm :)

        • Somebody lower in the thread said he got some confirmation on the 22mm

    • Case Size 43mm

      https://www.citizenwatches.com.au/products/bm7550-10e

cant see lug or strap width unfortunately

    • I bought one in the earlier sale, it is 22mm. And please do tell if you find a nicer band for it :)

  • +2

love this citizen design…if i had less restraint id buy it 100%

    • +2

I think it looks great as well. If I didn't already have a similar one I would also jump on this deal.

      • This is not the place to make excuses to not buy :)

  • +6

A watch with a bezel compass.

    Get one or get lost.

    • -1

You should be able to tell the direction using a watch without needing a compass.

    • "inspired" Compass though.

  • +3

    i’m trying to resist ..

    • really nice dial huh? the stencil numerics, hands and aviator style do it for me…some aviators look way too busy, this ones not

    • +2

      buy now think later

  • Damn, I regret not getting Monday's deal—the other watches so far including today's are a little big for my wrist. Look forward to finding out what tomorrow's deal will be!

  • +2

22mm lug width - got the confirmation.

  • +1

Currently wearing this watch, I checked with calipers and strap is 22mm lug width. The canvas strap is kind of shiny and looks good to me, also, I bought it without realising that the colour scheme is similar to the YF-19 from Macross Plus so that was a plesant surprise. It is quite a large watch with the case being 43mm but its easy to read because of that which also suits me.

  • just thinking how does this compass work ..is it just aesthetics?

    • +1

      www.citizenwatch-global.com/support/exterior/direction.html
(swap “South” for “North”, because we Staya)

      • You also need to swap "Sun" and "12 O'clock" because southern hemisphere.

        https://www.megalithwatch.com/blogs/watch-knowledge/how-to-u…

        • Sun is fine.

          • @muncan: but does the bezel actually rotate? It seems to be locked into position

            • +1

@fullerms: Does it even matter? North is between the hour hand (sun) and the clock’s 12 position. Use your other arm to extend the imaginary line between them, and now that arm is pointing North (now you’re a compass!). Also you can use the same North-pointing arm to thwock the person next to you when they start doubting. They may be babbling nonsense about daylight saving time or latitude.

I am not a watch person and despite strong opposition from my wife, only because this is disconnected item and looked great, I went ahead and bought this. Please pray for me

They just dont understand watches do they - I constantly get the "Just use your phone - it has a clock on it" from my partner.

      • +2

It is jewelry for men. They should understand that.

    • +11

Maybe post a wrist shot, thanks.

      • Sorry, I mean thanks Rfc850. Apologies. Thanks for pointing that out though. 😃

  • Any BM7550 buyers swapping out the band ? ;-)

    • I'm swapping with orange quick release silicone band from Garmin which compliment perfectly with the orange accent on the dial 😉

      • Sent you a PM

  • +1

Bought a BM7550 and got an email yesterday saying the order can't be fulfilled as it is out of stock. Extremely disappointing.

    • Talk about bad luck, considering you posted this deal.
Are they refunding you or is it on back order? Hopefully you can still get it.

      • Refunded. No option to keep it, it was either refund or choose another watch.
