Cheapest since 2019 according to Camels. $20 cheaper than the last Amazon deal. Not as good as the $50 EB games deal last year.

Amazon seem to be price matching Kogan.

  • Is it bright enough for 75" TV?

    • +3

I'd say no way, I have 3 (the double kit + extension) at the base of a 65" (plus two light strips behind), the area a single one would light up would not be wide enough and look strange.

    • The 75” light strip (currently at an extortionate $496) would probably be ideal but I might opt for a Medialight Flex again for a fraction of the cost ($129 for 3m), despite not being able to control it via Alexa.

      • I bought the $19 yeelight one don't have a chance to try yet

  • got one thanks OP

What's this have to do with Biden?

      • +1

Maybe he was just Biden his time?

      • -4

The amount of negs received suggest many know what I am referring to.

They should have remained silent. lol.

        • -4

I just assumed they were just the insane lefties defend Biden at all costs regardless if he is senile.

        • +3

The amount of up votes suggest you’re cooked. Even your boy wrjcu didn’t or doesn’t know how to (which is more likely)

  • Cheers Hamza23, nabbed two for my 65'

  • What does it do exactly?

    • +1

Either "smart light" or sync with image to create ambient light sync with TV/monitor picture or similar. Really need more than one though, or strip lights, etc.

      • I can see how placement behind the TV can enhance the effect but why does that guy have them behind his soundbar?

Also how do these things sync?

    • +4

      Brothel ambiance for your room

  • +2

    Bargain, must try to resist.

  • Does this work with a computer monitor without the bridge? Think there is some sort of program to run on PC that will sync the light.

    • Hue Sync - I use it with three bulbs, set up as an Entertainment Area. You're able to add whatever Hue stuff you want to an EA through the app.
So to answer your question - yes :D

  • Said $119 now

  • Comes up as $119 for me?
    Am i missing something?

    • +3

      youve missed the deal.

    • Yes, you just missed the deal.

  • Oh well, possibly better that i did.
Could've ended up being an impulse purchase.
Tbh, I'm not even sure what the benefit of this would be except for some nice lighting at night. Will do some research on it.

      Generally the purpose of lights

      • I found that more comfortable to watch TV with some white back lighting

        • Ditto, I have 3 of these - using them for bias lighting right now, they also come on at a randomised time to simulate someone being home and we have a preset that is one light very dim as a night light for putting the dog to bed.

Still an option of 2 for $149 - mmmm

  • For people that don't know.

You don't need to buy a sync box and instead can buy the Philips hue app from okay store which has a sync function for like 5 dollars.

Not as good as the sync box (as it doesn't work with a lot of other apps, works perfectly with YouTube though) but also doesn't have the obscene price tag.

    • so you dont need to buy a hue hub? you just need the app?

      • +1

        Yup that's correct.

    • If I just need to turn light on/off I just need the light, right?

  • Looks like the sync function is specific to Spotify, the hub or PC.

  • If anyone needs any extension cords there are some in the Amazon warehouse right now: https://www.amazon.com.au/Philips-Play-Extension-Cable-Black…

  • The $50 EB price was a clearout sale, so not really a fair comparison. Not that is wasn't a good deal at the time, I picked up a few myself. But I doubt that price will ever be achieved again outside of someone else clearing out stock.

  • +1

    Seems to be available again

    • Thanks OP, got one this time :)

  • Is a Philips bridge required?

  • It’s back to $119.
