Nice one, didnt realise it was back in stock until today. Can stop harrassing them every couple of years about if it is coming back.

      • +1

I have spoken them directly twice, flavours only be sold for a limited time on their site not from any other stores unfortunately.

        • Ahh okay good to know about Limited time only. Dont feel so bad for ordering 5 3 packs then.

No diet varities, I take it?

    • +3

Sadly not. You could ask them via Facebook or contact us to see if and when they are coming back. Edit : I've asked as well

@ymottomttdl: Soda King if you want the Ozb alternative (or find a secondhand SS on Gumtree/FB Marketplaats)

Gahhh, I went to the California 4-5 years ago and was blown away by these flavours in the regular and diet varieties. And they were available everywhere. It's heartbreaking that this is so hard to buy here. I have bought a few of each, thanks OP.

  • +3

Such a shame there's no Diet Dr Pete. I've never used any flavours but would be using that year round if they sold it.

    • +3

Same. I wouldn't buy anything buy diet dr Pete if it was around.

      • Been refreshing in case the diet one popped up. No luck unfortunately. Would also buy in bulk.

  • Do I need Root one?
    Don't remember the taste.

    • +1

I believe it’s similar to Sarsaparilla.

Many countries have varied ones that are similar to Root beer.

in the UK Dandelion and burdock is also similar in taste from my recall.

      • +1

Ooops, I don't like Sarsaparilla at all.
Thank you for the warning. :)

          Your welcome

Mods, there's a referral system we can do for this, gets referrers 15% off future orders… can we set it up, y'all?

    • Dropped a line in the referral thread for this.

I made the announcement about USA Favourites in my last post https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/732706

    • Cheers for that. Wish I had seen it then, but I wouldn't have looked on a sodastream general post and its easy to miss too.

I wouldnt have even found out myself unless I googled dr pete and found the link.

Last time I contacted Sodastream Australia about 6 to 12 months ago got the generic response from them about dr pete.

      Not even a Facebook announcement.

Deserved it’s own post. Hindsight eh?

Dr. Pete (and therefore the 3pack) has now sold out. What does that tell you Mr. Sodastream??? I think it needs a wide release!!!

    • +1

At least Sodastream Australia can't fallback on the excuse this time that the US flavours didnt sell well enough to justify keeping them when they inevitably discontinue them!

    • +1

It gets worse both have now been removed from the website. Wonder if it was a limited amount of stock they had and ozb exhausted it?

      • +1

Bummer. Was thinking too much and probably missed it all now. :(

        • +2

Ive asked them via facebook messages but yet to receive a response. Will keep you updated.

  • Is it true that cherry cola is basically cola and prune juice¿

  • +1

I want corn syrup 'n' sugar flavour.

  • +1

Free shipping over $35 at the moment. Was finally going to buy the 3 pack and other things to get to $35 …to find it sold out days ago :(

    • +1

Yep they only have the root beer left in the usa flavours. Everything else either sold out last friday (3 pack and dr pete) or earlier this week (cherry cola)

Marked post as out of stock.

  • +2

Anyone who missed out don't feel too bad, I ordered 6x dr petes and got 0 :( calling them this morning.

    • +2

Update : refunded for ones that didnt come. Rep told me that they have sold out and unofficially thats it no more coming in. Another year to wait if im lucky 😭

FYI: Ordered placed at 12:50pm not listed sold out till much later in the day others may be in the same boat.

  • +1

Anyone know of a way to import that's not too cost prohibitive

    • Wonder what the cost would be to send to a drop shipper then send to Australia from there? And even if they would ship them due to the type of product?

Looks like no dr pete for me at least in the short term 😢 would have been nice to at least get one.

      • +1

        Bummer.
        No Dr for me too.

  • It seems there is demand, perhaps if we contacted them collectively with 'we have xxx people wanting this many' they might reconsider stocking more?

    • Good luck, they keep reading my facebook messages but dont reply lol. You are more than welcome to try though through whatever contact method floats your boat.

  • I'm quite sure they will continue to ignore the individual requests, but hypothetically a request with a larger number of people behind it is harder to ignore.

    • +1

I suspect this is a wrong way to address it: seeing how support is overwhelmed and not replying it is very unlikely they will pass the message. Also the person who is making the decision might be too far in the "chain".

If we can write to their CEO (Pepsi Co, right?) or at least some marketing department…

But it is Pepsi… It is very unlikely they will ever listen to customers.
