Heard these things are pretty dangerous… or is that just propaganda from "big snorkel"?

      Haha "big snorkel"!

I've heard some of these where the snorkel is too long doesn't allow full exhausting of exhaled air are an issue.

We have the Decathlon one for my son, and he loves it.

The Decathlon ones are good, simple. The main issue with this general design is that they aren't suited for high-exertion, as purging exhaled air requires more effort than just breathing out with a conventional snorkel. For basic use they're excellent. (Some of the negative reviews on various sites are because lap swimmers decide to use these (god knows why) and then complain that they can't breathe.)

    • bought some of this style snorkle mask for a trip to Hawaii a few years ago and they worked fine.
only used them for surface snorkeling though as they didn't feel comfortable very comfortable when trying to go deeper to check out the fish and turtles.

also, but this could be due to maybe not wearing them properly, we found that they tended to slip a bit when moving abruptly. at least more so than which a normal snorkle and mask. then next thing you know your mask fills with water and you have to try and purge.

if you were just going be floating around on the surface, i reckon you'd be fine with these.
personally, i'd stick with the traditional snorkle next time so as to not be limited in what activities you can indulge in

  • It's back to $49. I added it to my shopping cart @ $15 and then it went to $49.

  • Unable to determine shipping costs before entering personal details = no deal.

  • In store only on large.
These were very hard to find at the start of the pandemic. We thought we might need full face respirators.

Is this for the new covid variant.

  • Heard you can get certain prescription lenses for this

Good for stopping the Wuhan Flu v13?

  • mmm, i'm in WA and it seems they don't do any delivery to the west :(

  • How do you get it @ $15. It shows as $49

  • I bought 4 of these for the family earlier in the year from Decathlon for use in the great barrier reef for surface snorkeling. You can't use this type for diving. They were good, easy to use, didn't leak, didn't fog up etc. If you can pick up one for $15 from Catch it is well worth it if you have a use for it.
